Hoosier qtp or hoosier DR 225-50-16 I ran 10.9s with the DRs. Your trans will hold its just a matter of shifting and it going in gear. If you have solid mounts and the pressure in the tires around 14ish you wont get wheel hop.......

UPDATE!!!!

The 26x10s on about to go on the car this weekend and I will be heading back to the dyno in preperation for the IFO in Gainesville on the 27th. Hoping to hit low 9s

low 9s huh? What turbo, clutch, and other relevant mods?

Is that the size for the hoosier that fits the stock 2g gst rims?
Those tires are going to be the next thing I buy after some motor mounts. What else could I do to help me with traction.
Thanks.

Suspension. Some shocks you can adjust the stiffness on would help. At the track, make the back ones as stiff as possible and the fronts a little soft. That way the back doesn't dip much and the front isn't so sitff it causes wheel hop. Tire pressure makes a big difference there too.

Everytime i touch the track something goes wrong with the car i guess she hates the track LOL.....

Last pass i made on street tires before a tune and 16lbs it went 14.7 @ 97mph missing 2nd gear....

Alot has changed since then including a tune/fmic/wieght reduction/20lbs im hoping to get back to the track soon......

Sounds like you should have picked up some decent power as long as the tune is solid. Let us know how you run when you decide to take your car back out!

Since last season I have updated, Custom turbo from EverGreen (6165ish), Jmf drag, Delta K280s, mt 26x10s, act 2900 solid 4 puck and direct port nos 100shot for now. And a set of my own custom Beehive valvetrain (OcalaTunerPerformance). I still have yet to put in this awd transmission, I still dont know if I want to run the evo gear set or not. Next week I will know what im going to do.
Last month before the IFO in bradenton I put it on the dyno and she hit 867whp and 546wtq on a mustang dyno....All this and spinning my 7bolt to 9500rpm :hellyeah:

I know she will run 9s, its just a matter ofd holding on to her all the way down the track....

Dude I feel your pain, everytime I take my beast down to orlando it shreds my transmission. Last time I went down there 2nd gear granded. But you also have to look at how old the car is and what parts are 15+ years old. I have a friend down there that holds the 16g fwd record that can help out if you need. Also look on orldsm.org thats the orlando dsm site. Lots of help close by.

Thats a massive step up from 11.731 @ 124.140. What have you done to it over the winter?

Fixed a ton of boost leaks we where having problems with turned up some boost put it all in a pot an mixed in some secret sauce ;)
Just gonna have to wait and see:thumb:

Are any of you FWD guys looking to relocate your battery to your front bumper? I talked with JM Fabrications about making a mount for a stock sized dsm battery. They said they can do it but they need at least 20 people that would buy one at $150 to $200 as well as someone that can lend a 2g to get it mocked up. I was thinking of putting it down where the stock SMIC is with a bracket for some battery jumper terminals.

I'd be down for that. I may just drop it down on the firewall though.

i could use that battery mount also.

Im looking to atleast touch some 11.90s with a fp big28 turbo. Ipt automatic and fwd yaaa.

I am geting ready to hit the dyno but i want to use my slicks. I have a set of 26x10x15 ET drags and some weld 15x8 draglites with a 5.5" backspace. How big of a spacer do you guys think i would need to clear a normal strut as i do not have coilovers yet.

You only live an hour away from JMFab. Maybe you could be the guy to get it mocked up :idontknow:. I'm thinking of starting a thread to get a list going but I'm not sure how popular an idea it would be.

Theres a guy on here with 15x10 with 5.5 backspace and doesnt use spacers (shortydtp). I got some welds that are 15x10s with 5.5 backspace for my 2g and the mount up great and all, I havent put the tires on yet but im pretty sure they will be fine. Dont waste your money on spacers just buy the right offset. Anything over 8'' wide I would use extended wheel studs.

Also John at TRE was telling me I should really use 12'' wide wheels with the 26x10x15 MT ET's. I can see the theory behind it but when I talked to mickey thompson they said its possible but im not gunna try that this season.

No real updates for me yet, just been working on my tune with link. Track opens back up march 4&5, small island so we only get to race once or twice a month. I'm hoping to get down to low 13's maybe even dip into the 12's with my current setup. I finally got a new gizzmo ms-ibc thanks to the wifey, so I will be running a 3 stage boost. Going to try 10-12psi in 1st, 15-16psi in 2nd, and 19-21psi in 3rd-4th. Hoping that will help the traction issues I was having last time. Because my gizzmo was broke and I had to rig up a mbc which was set at 16psi therefore killing my launch. Still waiting to get the hoosier Qtp's to run this year, praying our tax return is good so I can grab them LOL. Also starting my build on my other 4g63T out of my other GST, as more of a back up motor just in case my 230,000+ mile motor finally goes bomb. Hoping its a fun year at the track. I've been planning the first ever DSM meet here in Kauai for all of use to get together meet, eat, talk story, and surf. Should be fun I may extend it to a tuners only picnic since there are only a handful of DSMer's on island. Shootz keep you guys posted in March and put up a vid of race day. God bless

easy to make ... not on a dsm but its the same idea.. took us half a day.. on it.

Yep it never fails for something to go wrong when i get there, yes i know him that car rides out!

Even tho i have beat 105-106mph cars from a roll i still consider it a 97mph car since thats what i trapped the last time out......:D

Is this on all 2gs? I am a 1g so i have that large spring seat in the way.

Do you have V3? If so, it can do ECU controlled boost by gear, no need to spend money on additional devices. Mostly putting this out there for others who may not be aware since it's particularly beneficial to FWDs.

Nope only got v3lite right now, which is why I'm using the gizzmo. Plus when I'm ready for full version I can sell the gizzmo for a good amount and upgrade some other stuff. I know about the rpm based boost control on v3 just not ready to step up there yet, still learning v3lite. Thanks for the tip. I wouldn't have even got another gizzmo but they hooked me up since I already owned one and that one failed.

A friend of mine runs 26x8s on his 1g fwd, i dont know what the off set is. I just put my 26x10s on tonight and they fit perfect.:hellyeah:

finally got the engine dyno'd read for this season.

957bhp 750lb-ft

that should see me into the 9's at least :)
