Looks like I might have some space! Not sure if it's enough

Here are a couple pics from evoM showing the RX7 wheels clearing the stock EVO brakes. If you can find someone with one of those wheels to try, it might be your best bet.

to why you wander why there are not many fwd dsms not getting lower times as compared to the dodge SRT-4 is because maybe the cars are not setup right engine wise, people putting the money towards cosmetic parts rather than fucasing on the performance of the motor, suspension setup, tires and wheels for the track.

And might I ask for a timeslip of your car?
 
The only thing noticable right off hand is that its raked up on its front wheels, other than that its a 420a motor and will always be a 420a. There is a reason you dont see them in sfwd/profwd or outlaw. The have a crappy wheel base and very limited motor porgrams. BUT the 420 bottom end is a strong platform, heck we have a few members building them and well in the 600whp range. To me a srt4 is a highspeed grocery getter, 4 door american ricer than thought it could keep pace.
 
So really the srt-4 is a gs eclipse with an extra door and a turbo. Plus someone threw up on it.

So back on topic. I'm headed to the track right now! Howmuch air should I let out of the tires?
 
As mentioned, if going on street tires, lower with progression. Start around 28 psi and see how it works it. If it does pretty good, go on down to 25-26psi and see how that works. If it's better, maybe drop once more to the 23 psi range. That's about as low as I would go on a street tire. Let us know how you do!
 
Your picking up almost 30mph on the back side of the track! Get some slicks , If you can manage a 1.8 60foot your et will drop to about a 12.5.
 
I didn't spin that run but I set my ebc to 10psi for first and second and 22 for the rest! I think I'm gonna get some dr's next year (car went to storage today), and get a better tune! I'm sure the e316g still has some left!
 
I went to the track last night too. Went 11.9@124, 11.4@125, and 11.6@126 in that order. My previous best pass was 13.4@114 on a e316g so I still have never gone 12's LOL. My 60 ft's were 1.9 mostly.

Nice!!! I love these fast FWD times! All you guys are giving me hope! What brand/size slicks are you using? This was on a Holset 35? That's a huge jump man, congrats!

I can't wait 'til the new year when I get v3lite, FIC 850 injectors, and a Buschur TDO5/6 20g, and some slicks. Hoping to skip the 13's and jump straight into the 12's.

I'm guessing you are running e85? Howmuch boost are you running and howmuch hp are you at?

e85, 30lbs with the 8 blade hx35. Not sure on HP yet havent gotten to the dyno.

I use them on the street too and I love them.

The only suspension I have is tein S-tech springs. This isn't a full weight car. No powersteering,ac, and some other stuff. I still have a 75 shot I didn't use so hopefully 10s next time out with a better 60ft and the nitrous.

I finally got around to pulling my clutch which was slipping on my last run at the track when I went 13.8 @ 96.3mph...it's almost completely slick. You can barely catch some material on the friction disc if you scrape across it with your fingernail. Can't wait to get everything back together with some new mods and more weight removal!!!

Any of you guys ever weigh your car to see what your race weight is? I never weighed it stock, but I'm keeping a list of how much weight is removed as I take stuff out.

I hate to say it, but im getting out of the fwd game....Im leaving with a best of 10.70 @ 138mph and 656 fwhp...

Its been fun, but I have some new plans for the winter....They could still fall through but I dont see it happening...

Spinning in 4th gear on the highway got scary, REAL scary....

What kind of tires were you spinning going that fast? Do you have an LSD? I just got me an HX40 myself and my setup is going to be pretty similar to yours. It would be a dream come true if I could pass 600whp. I was hoping I would still be able to compete in roll races with DR's whenever the need to show off overtakes my self control heh. But I guess thats asking a lot from a FWD.
 
I think Kevin could of went with a bigger, wider tire and ran lower E.T's. But he isnt kidding, spinning on the street is nuts. With my set up im somewhere in the mid 500s and on the street I track all over the place with a quafie! I just got a set of stock rear springs from richard33 and I welded them up for the most part. Should get rid of my weight transfer when I launch. I should be going for some testing on wensday night. Shooting for mid 10s without the spray.

No track this week, the girlfriends car blew up so im rebuilding the motor ......... toyotas suck!
 
Hmmm im actually heading out to my local track tomm. hopefull i dont break anything LOL....
