This is probably a dumb question, but what is the part called that holds the front suspension in place and bolts up to the knuckle in a 1g? Does anyone know where i can find this part? :hmm:

The first two pictures i think are the inserts for factory motor mounts? Can anyone confirm? I need help identifying the third picture. Thanks.

Never owned a DSM but I'm looking to buy 1 now. I noticed this sensor just laying by the intake and I don't know what it is or where it goes.

It isn't a map sensor, it is. It is the Mdp sensor. Looks like a 2g with a 6 bolt . There is no spot on the 6 bolt intake to mount it. Most just don't use it.

Looks like a map sensor. Is the car a 2g with a 6 bolt swap. Judging by the intake it appears so. In that case just zip tie it up behind the motor on the fire wall and leave it plugged in. Thats how mine is.

My bad didnt type fast enough LOL.

Im looking at the car and know nothing about it. It is plugged in but just laying there. How can i tell if it a 6 bolt swap?

It is a 97 gts. Should the sensor be unplugged? Will it cause any ill affects without it

Yes leave it plugged in. And it looks like at the very least someone put a 1g head on your car. You can tell my the intake manifold. If you unplug it I believe it'll throw a cel.

The first pics look like the inserts around the oem timing area on the drivers side bracket.

Thanks.

Any other ideas on these?

The first set pictured, with only one flat edge, are for the timing side engine mount bracket. The second set below that set, with two flat edges, are for the transmission side mount bracket.

The third thing, I haven't the foggiest. Do you have more pictures? Is it a rubbery material?

Ask and you shall receive! Its a sort of foamy material. And it has a slit in it that is clean like it was done at the factory.

As for the pieces you identified, I switched to prothanes. Not sure why I hung on to these.

I just opened up a motor a had lying around to start salvaging some parts and get rid of the things that are in need of replacing so I can make some space and discovered this...is like the engine internals are burnt? It's like burnt orange tint? Anyone know what causes this

Just got the new 97 gst home. Started looking around the engine bay and noticed a few things. Can anyone tell me what these are?

Run a line from your wastegate to your manifold or to your j-pipe nipple. Do you have a nipple on your j-pipe?

The one on the water neck is a coolant temp sensor and the connector looks like its for an ac compressor.
