Right, the 2g uses RTV only while the 1g calls for a gasket. You could use RTV in place of the gasket if needed. But I was always taught to use RTV or a gasket, never both.
And some of you guys need to start breaking more stuff!I can't even count how many times I've pulled the head. Hell, I built my engine before I even owned a boost controller.

Finished one of the rims. I drove 14 hours round trip and paid $50 for them. The one I've refinished was the worse of them but came out great after about 4 hours of work. 3 to go!
