Cams are not easy to identify for obvious reasons...but if you think it's worth posting pics along with measurements and specs of the cams you're using, give it a shot.



I have these cams, they came in a head I bought. The guy said they were aftermarket and he did not know what kind... does anyone reconize these markings? Thank you very much for any help you can give, I want to sell them but I do not know what they are.

Those look like regrinds, those letters are usually on stock cams, let me guess... its a 1g?

Yeah, its a 1g. I was thinking they were regrinds as well.

Pull a lifter and check for shims.

ok just picked up a set of used cams from a member on here ---can any one tell me how to quickly identify a turbo cam from a non turbo cam ------ als0 can any one positively tell me if our non turbo exhaust cams are the same as the turbo cams?.....I do know the intake cams are different == please need a responce asap

any one?......im just seeing if there is a way to tell ----a sure fired way that is

Yes they are different, but not that much. You shouldn't even notice it unless your trying to make serious power.

i am posting this for a friend, i looked but could not find anything


i got a head about three weeks ago for free, the guy knew nothing about the car, when we got it home we noticed a largely stamped B on both cams on the front and rear of each cam... when the cam is flipped it also is imprinted with A1 and 20.....


i even tried looking on google but found nothing

I am pretty sure those are stock cams. The stock cams have the "B" and couple other things stamped on them. The bc cams I have seen do not.

I will probably be buying this engine off of a guy but I am getting sketchy information about what cams are in it. He thinks they are Crower 272's but not sure. Id like to know either way but googling the numbers on it aren't getting me anywhere. Here are some pics I took, hopefully it is the info needed. Thanks for any help that can be given

cwc is formally Campbell Wyant and Cannon Foundry Co. they sell blank cams to company's that then machine them to the right specs


the cc could stand for crower cams but i would figure it would be bcc for brian crower cams


idk someone with experience needs to chim in on this one
