Cams are not easy to identify for obvious reasons...but if you think it's worth posting pics along with measurements and specs of the cams you're using, give it a shot.



I have these cams, they came in a head I bought. The guy said they were aftermarket and he did not know what kind... does anyone reconize these markings? Thank you very much for any help you can give, I want to sell them but I do not know what they are.

I think you should go with the comp cams 101200's you will not regret it. Ive got a pair of them and have loved them from the day i put them in. you loose soe power from 3.4k RPM down but, whoever racer at an RPM lower than that. They pull all the way to 8k RPM with no dropoff at all. They were going for $390 shipped on ebay a while ago you might want to check now. Dont waste time on the 100's. Oh and the idle is almost stock if thats a good thing or bad. Personal prefrence i guess.

crowers look just like a factory cam except the lobes obviously are larger.

I was also wondering about my cams as well. When I bought the car it had recently had the head replaced on the Motor. I took my engine apart to replace my headgasket and I noticed that my cams Had a B on them. Im not sure if they are stock or aftermarket has anyone seen or heard of this or are they just stock.

If you can not tell me the exact size (which I doubt you could) please at least tell me who the manufacturer may be. They don't look like stock cams to me.

Ok I looked for about a little over a hour in the cam posts and could not find this set I have .. I have a 1991 Eclipse GSX 5spd and the stock cams i know cause there AD intake and AD exhaust .. then I got a used head off ebay couple moths ago guy said its off a 1G .. these cams say R6 Intake and R2 Exhaust ?? I didnt find these anywhere so if anyone knows there they might be from let me know k thanks

Its hard for me to remeber, but I know there is a thread on here with the stock markings of cams. Im not sure if those where on there or not. But there were several different cams with marks on there.

A guy on craigslist is selling some "i have fp 3 stage cams" and I couldn't find anything on google about what size they are, I messaged him and he said he THINKS they're 272's also they're a little rusty, I asked him how much he wants out of them and he said everything is best offer. I attached a link to the pic of them, I need to know if they are 272s, how much I should offer, and if the rust is okay or can I clean it and make it ok? I heard the 272s will work on stock valve train so I hope these are them

There's info here, scroll down. If it's only surface rust it might be fine, but if there is any pitting what so ever they're no good, I would not touch them. I've cleaned a few up that were about that bad and didn't have any problems, but they were stockers, it might differ with cams that have been ground. Take a look at them very thoroughly, if there's any pitting, scratches, etc... I would leave them alone unless he wants to unload them cheap...

Is that the only pic you have? How much does he want for them? Its hard to tell the condition from the pic and you can only see one cam.
