Cams are not easy to identify for obvious reasons...but if you think it's worth posting pics along with measurements and specs of the cams you're using, give it a shot.



I have these cams, they came in a head I bought. The guy said they were aftermarket and he did not know what kind... does anyone reconize these markings? Thank you very much for any help you can give, I want to sell them but I do not know what they are.

Is that the only pic you have? How much does he want for them? Its hard to tell the condition from the pic and you can only see one cam.

yes it is, they're on craigslist. He said best offer on the listing and I messaged him asking for a dollar price and again he told me best offer. I'll get new ones later I don't want to purchase some I can't use

just , spray with degreaseer. take to power wash , and then spray them with WD40 and they will be just fine .

It looks like some one left them outside in the dirt or they are rusted bad enough to start flaking.

where did this come from? They should have a number in the end of the cam. Its hard to say they could be a stock cam or a regrind

I recently purchased a set of used cams off of ebay and I want to know if I got what I payed for. The engraving on the cams reads:
251 INT
CC
UF9113

the other cam reads:
250EXH
CC
UF9133

There are also other marking on the cams like C2, D2, D5, and EP4604 but these are not engraved. I checked the comp cams site and found that 251 is the advertised intake duration and 250 is the advertised exhaust duration. I have searched and found nothing that really helps me. Thank you in advance for any help.

CC seems like it would stand for comp cams.

Those are my thoughts also. Just Like the 251 int and 250exh. I just wanna be sure before I install these.

Any other input? The only reason I posted this is because the engraving is pretty sloppy and it made me second guess the cams a bit.

Call up Comp cams and see what they engrave into them.

I agree with above. I seen some cams off ebay where the seller actually went and engraved something on them, trying to make it look legit...........turns out they were stock cams being passed as 272's. Unless they come new, still in wrapper and box, wouldnt trust them. Just call Comp. sure they'll help u out

I got a used 6 Bolt head last year off ebay and these cams where in it .. R6 on the Intake and R2 on the Exhaust ???

get a mic and check the lift vs a stock cam see if its an improvement...

Well I measured the lobe hights in Inchs and there all mostly 138.90 or 138.85 all four of the cams my stock and these ones the stock ones say AD on Intake and AD on Exhaust im prob doing this wrong !!!!!

The one with the slot goes to the intake. Those main journals on them look pretty rough...

na I never set the date on the cam... is does look rough my stocks look better with 109 xxx miles on them... Well the intake has R6 in lobe set in is a 06 flip the cam over a 0 at the top and a 08..... The Exhaust R2 .. same one lobe set down the cam os 06 again flip it 0 at the top and 04 down from that think i should stay with the ones that came in the car guess there the stock 91 cams they say Exhaust A D 2... Intake are same they say A D but these look kinda beat to be too

i have a set of comp cams on the box it says 101-000-8e and it also say mitsu 8737 what does this mean and what does this compare to? maybe hks 264 i dont thanks for the help.

Does anyone know how to tell what cams i have? Mine have the letter j stamped on them and I didn't know if they were oem. Thanks for the help.
