ALL CAM IDENTIFICATION QUESTIONS MERGED HERE.

Cams are not easy to identify for obvious reasons...but if you think it's worth posting pics along with measurements and specs of the cams you're using, give it a shot.

I have these cams, they came in a head I bought. The guy said they were aftermarket and he did not know what kind... does anyone reconize these markings? Thank you very much for any help you can give, I want to sell them but I do not know what they are.

I believe they are comp cams I am not sure on the specifics of them though. The cwc is the manufaturer of the blank cams as stated before.

I was told I had 272/272s but I'm not sure is there any numbers or letters on them I have a pair of calipers just don't know how to measure the lift of a cam one set of cams I have have a B on them have no clue any help

You can measure the cam lobe on the sides-between the bump and then the bump, subtract the smaller # and thats your cams lift not your valve lift ,you will get a reading but it will not be a valve lift reading because rocker ratio will effect #s,at least you will have some more info to give out to find your answer

I got these cams with my car on a set of adjustable skunkworks gears. I was told they weren't stock but i'm not sure. The castings are alot like the stockers that are in it but yet quite a bit different. The cams have both an F marked at the end of the shaft and an A at the front of the cam. Sorry for the not so great pics.

I got rid of all the stockers i had laying around so i only had the set in the car to go by. However i have seen other letters casted on stock cams..so im just going to assume they are stock. But Thanx Dustin!

Im working on getting my motor together, and when I purchased it the PO said it had an Eagle crank and BC 280s in it. How would I go about making sure they are the real deal and he wasn't just blowin smoke? I already have the engine pulled with the head off of it as well. Thanks!

bc cams have the part number on them

bc-102-in
bc-102-ex

some of the early eagle cranks dont have a part number but you can tell by looking at them

I have a set of bc 272/272 cams that were bought used and i wanted to verify that they are what they are. Bought them from a trustworthy friend but still just wanted to make sure, anything i should look for? serial numbers and what not. i can post up pictures upon request

Not sure what cams these are, stock or some sort of aftermarket, I have been unable to figure it out based on other pictures on here. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

I was hoping to not have to do that since the car is together in running at the moment and soon to be for sale.
