People say not to use the dry kit but we have never had anything negative to say about it used to spool. Of coarse I would recommend a wet kit if you want to spray it throughout the rpm range

Also if your drag racing- most sanctioning bodies will not allow you to use two power adders unless your in the 8 sec class...... Racers rely heavily on long staging and good cam timing...
 
Nothing....But the OP is not... with a wet kit, you can push that button anytime you want at any speed or RPM......Way more universal... and safe..
 
totally agree with you guys, I just am not having to or having any lean issues and running conservative timing that low in the rpm range. If I upped it to a 75 shot I would probably need to add fuel with the table I have now. Should have clarified. :thumb:
 
why does it take so long to spool up without nitrous to begin with? only time i saw that slow of spool on my hx35 was on speed density. maf it never had an issue
 
Not sure why it takes so long on the hx35. I am on speed density but even with the MAF it took as long as it did in the video.

I am spraying the nitrous just after the IAT. No need to complicate things going pre turbo. I wanted as close to a direct shot as possible.

Why do that?

A Dry shot before the IAT will cause the IAT to read the lower temps and adjust somewhat depending on how cold the sensor can read and what the SDtemp table is set to do. Wet shot will damage the IAT. Spray wet shot after the IAT not before.

Spraying a dry (not wet) before the turbo in theory should work better. I did some searching on google, and a few people have said it works better. The turbo is what puts heat into the air. The harder the turbo works, the more heat generated.
 
I've read opinions that spraying pre-turbo is bad because the nitrous fog droplets (molecules?) may be damaging to the turbo, since the turbo is spinning a whole lotta RPM's.

but I think a dry shot right before the IAT would help richen up the mix to safer afr's due to the lower temp and the computer adapting for it.
 
Seems to be a whole lot of "I read this" and "I saw that" in here and not a lot of actual experiences.
 
As for the compressor errosion i have never seen it on the multiple setups i have run. I have been running a 10gph alky pre turbo for years with no visible wear and my old bike seup was drawthrough carb with a mitsu turbo and i never saw any wear on that turbo even with all the fuel going through it.

I would think you would have to inject massive amounts of non atomized liquids to see any wear, but maybe someone has seen it?
 
Nitrous comes out as a gas, just like the air you breath is a gas. nitrous mixed with gasoline (wet shot) is different. I have used nitrous on several cars, but none were turbo.
