You're an idiot.

Anybody know who the title holder is for the fastest auto AWD NO NITROUS ?

I'm not sure if the guy is spraying or not but I know c dubs red rocket ran a 5.50 in the eighth.

Jeff bush has went 8.6 @ 167mph but I think he was using a little bit of spray. I am sure it would still run amazing without it... What were the times on this car?

I just dont want to say its the fastest auto awd no spray, if its not.

And if im gonna post it up i want to know if its my cousin.

The fastest auto AWD I know of that doesn't use nitrous is Lucas English and his FP HTA Green-powered 1G that went 9.9@133 last week.

All of the others that people have mentioned above all use nitrous in some capacity. Jeff Bush (English Racing), Jesse Abele and the other Abele brothers (C-Dub), Jason Wier, and Trevor Holland all most definitely use nitrous and are 8/9-second auto AWDs.

The fastest awd auto w/o nitrous that I am familiar with would be Dean Bradley. He went high 9.2X's last year (2009) at Bushcurs Sport Compact shootout.

I know we're talking absolutely no n2o in the car, so seeing how I use my car strictly for competition I have never competed with out, BUT I know for certain I can stall my car up to 6200 with out it and this is where I launch from regardless. and on almost all of my passes this season with out spray was 8.8 at 158 mph or so during eliminations. I never ran the car with out so no slips to back it up

The inherent problem with the awd auto is the gearing and tire diameter. At power levels high enough to achieve low 9's or 8's in the quarter mile, shifting into 4th gear with the auto is questionable to say the least. Therefore the trend is to ring out 3rd gear. At that point, it comes down to how fast the car really is that determines the RPM needed.

The 2.3L guys with big turbos have better chances of getting their cars on the converter without nitrous in a shorter amount of time, but can be limited RPM wise by the engine.

The 2.0L guys have a harder time getting on the converter as quickly in a racing situation, and therefore need the assistance of N20.

The difference in gearing between the AWD and FWD autos is minor, however the fwd guys can runner taller tires, thus giving them more mph for a given engine RPM.

i went a 9.27 @149 yesterday absolutely no spray at all with a 1.38 60ft...

the car has so much left in it though. im trying to work out the tranny it seems to be sliping a little bit. i went throught the traps at the rev limiter at 149 in forth it doesnt seem right. ill post videos soon

local shop built the trans for me put alto clutch packs in it, had a manual valve body already from ipt, percision industries converter.

seems that the treanny is sliping a bit though. i shifted fourt cause it was on the rev limiter in third. when i shifted fourth it seem just to stay on the rev limiter. felt real nice none the less

Congrats on the times! I wish I could have been there to see it!

So then what might be going here is that straight up OD (4th) did not shift, which is a VB issue. Also does your converter still have the lock up clutch, assuming this is 2g.

You get what issues this trans has fixed your gonna have a pretty hard core ride here. Good luck keep us posted

Thanks guys, the tranny is a 1g auto in a 2g. im trying to work a deal with this guy localy cause its so nice to be able to drop in on a guy instead of calling and being in the blind you know, and he has been good to me so far. i will post the vid as soon as my buddy sends me the link he has my camra.

That's bad ass!!! What's the setup?

the set up is a 2.3L stroker motor
10.1 cp piston
pauter rod
gt4202 turbo
on e85 for fuel:sneaky:
