Turbo pcv valve on NT

It's possible you could achieve better crankcase ventilation by not using one[a 4g63 variety] since the manifold will never see positive pressure.

Looks like no. But I don't see why you couldn't rig one up.

I just went and looked it up on NAPAonline.com
for both the turbo and N/T same part number Part Number: CRB 29496

From my understanding, the PVC is one way, designed to flow oil vapors and crank case pressure from the engine into the intake to be burnt for emmission

so for turbo or N/T I do not think there will be a diffrence, since the valve only opens under manifold vacuume

Interesting. Then why does an NT PCV look like the picture above, if they have the same part number?

Either way, the parts are not the same and the NT PCV is attached via hoses, no threading. I'm sure you could install the 4g63 model if you wanted to, just can't think of why.

My NA PVC's were just like the turboed DSM.

The picture above is just the nipple that goes from the VC to the intake pipe. Some are angled like the pic above and some are straight. ALL of mine were straight on both turbo and NA.

He isn't talking about the thing in picture in #2 permalink. He is talking about the PVC that threads into the VC. I wouldn't see why a PVC wouldn't be interchangeable and useable on both turbo and NA.

ASA shows the part number as M04777240 for the N/T, take the "M" out (since that is a Chrysler part number), put that in NAPAonline.com and you get these for the 420A: MPF 39424 and CRB 29424 -- which looks like what is in post #2.

For the 4G63 (both turbo and non-turbo), Mitsu part number MD024719 which is CRB 29293 or ATM KP202 and is a straight valve, no bends

Finally, for the N/T Spyder (4G64), MD183547, you get a couple spark plugs :)p) and CRB 29391 -- which resembles the 420A valve.

I tend to agree, since (and as long as) it's essentially a one-way check valve, fabricating one of the 2G N/T pieces up in place of the 4G63 piece shouldn't be an issue. I don't think it would be worth your time to do something like that (or vice versa), though, but hey!

The thing in post #2 is the PCV valve (not PVC) for a 2G non-turbo. ;)

Agreed, dont see the point in buying $5 worth of hose to work something up when you could have just bought the right $5 PCV

Well i did it and it works fine. I personally rather have a metal one plus it looks better.

Just out of curiosity, why did you do this? Did yours stop working and all you had available was the 4g63 version?

It's likely there are design differences that better suit each powerplant. I'm just not convinced that our PCV is any kind of upgrade and not a downgrade for your application.
