Alright, so I know this is probably a silly or absurd question, but I'm learning, so I need to ask it.

My 1g manifold is, of course, cracked. I'm looking to replace it and finding a good n/t manifold is pretty difficult. I'm wondering if there's any way I can buy a turbo exhaust manifold and attach it to my engine and what sort of modifications would need to be done to it in order to make it function and connect properly. I'm hoping to either move the parts over to a turbo car (don't know if I'll look for a fwd or awd yet...) in the future, so any permanent modifications would be undesireable. I realize it'll be extra money and parts, and I might need to have something fabricated, or that it probably won't be simple or easy. I'm still interested in knowing what it will take.

Technically you could use one, but you would have to custom modify your exhaust to fit and it wouldn't flow as well as a n/t header. Just as said, go with an aftermarket 4-2-1 header and call it a day.

A large part of the reason I'm having trouble with this is because I can't find almost any aftermarket 4-2-1 headers for my n/t. Also, I'd put a turbo on this, but I'm fairly certain it couldn't handle the boost.

I can find plenty for 2g...

But beware of the quailty! On the the one on my 420a it had bolts that held the 2 upper peices together that broke. I just ended up welding it together. But the second one kazoo found seems better quality not the first thats the same style I broke and it leaked.

That second link indicates it's for a 95-99. If I can use a 2g exhaust system on a 1g car, awesome, but something tells me probably not....
