TD05H vs TD05HR CHRA's?

I know these turbos have different wheels and spool designs, but are the center housings the same? I found a deal on a TD05HR and was thinking I could get it and strip it for its CHRA and rubuild my E316g that I have a 20g wheel for.

Depending on the model, the center housing should be the same. You'll have to use the heat shield from the corresponding turbine housing.

The Evo IX and X CHRA's are not the same.

The turbine heat shield is different, the one for the TD05HR will not fit onto a standard rotation CHRA. Also, the IX compressor housing has a larger diameter backplate area than the VIII/DSM style.
