suggestions please

Well i got the car to run o.k. Stopped messing with it for awhile, like 4 months it has been in hte garage. I bought a new battery went out to start it. Car will not start the first attempt no matter how long you crank it. The second attempt it will fire right off. It revs itself to like 2500 rpm then slows down and dies. It does this everytime. If i depress the gas pedal it dies immediatly, i have to tap the pedal to keep it running, if i hold it down at all it dies. what could this be? The tps is adjusted perfectly. I have no cels. Can i get a clue, I have looked everywhere. re timed it twice.

Check if your MAF is plugged in all the way, and of course the ever poular boost leak test. good luck

youve got to start with the basics on things like this or your going to spend A LOT of money replacing stuff and not fix the problem. its called shotgun troubleshooting and you don't have to do it... first do a boost leak test and fix anything air is rushing out of. next check for spark on all four cylinders, if you don't know how to do this stuff ask or search the site.

How does the car sound when you start it up, does the motor sound smooth or lumpy, like does it sound like it doesn't want to run and then dies or is it running fine at 2500 rpms and then just cuts off?

She souinds good and solid. No abnormal noise or anything. Even when cranking it sounds good. I have searched and found many problems with this car. I bought it without seeing it from a friend of my then girlfriend. Anyway yeah i have spark on all four cylinders, firing order is correct. It has new plugs and wires, Did a boost leak test and found nothing, i am going to check again because i have since removed and replaces the tubes. I have searched endlessly for a vaccuum leak, It has a new battery and alternator because the cel was on for alternator, also has new front 02 sensor due to a cel. I have no cels now. I will keep searching and keep you guys posted. Keep the suggestions coming please.

Check your cam sensor ive had spark with one but it messed up my timing,and ive also had one that didnt send spark to 2 cylinders,and are you running too rich?check your plugs to see if they are fouled and your FPR

Yeah i will check that. That is a good idea. I am building another BLT now. This thing has not ran right since i bought it. Any help is appreciated.
