Burning Oil, Suggestions Please

I'm about to buy a 94 Laser RS Turbo AWD and It runs great but the only thing wrong with it is that it's puffin out the blue. So i'm going to go do a compression test tomorrow but i was wondering what it could be and how to diagnose the problem correctly. Thanks

Bad piston rings, bad valve seals, bad valve guides. How many miles on motor?

Could also be the turbo, check it for play.

There's only 180,xxx Km's on it and i was thinking the turbo seal but i will check for play too.

Easiest way to check turbo seals is to disconnect the lower intercooler hose. If its full of oil its your turbo

Yeah, that's what i was told too. Alright well i'll check that tomorrow and i'll update on status

So i went and took off the inlet turbo piping and there was quite a bit of oil in there. there was also oil on the outside of the bottom of my turbo. So would that be my turbo seal? Cause my friend is trying to tell me that it would be my valve guides or seals but wouldn't that puff out more when i down shift right? Like what else could it be and how could i test it?

Replace a quart of oil with a bottle of lucas oil stabilzer, my 97GS-T has 165K miles and thats all that stops it from blowing blue, it works

If you think its engine related do a compression test and if it turns out low then go ahead and do a cylinder leak test to pin point the problem.

180Km (155Kmiles) on any motor needs valve seals if the compression is good.

Does it puff blue all the time, or just when you take off?

All the time-it's due for rings an bearings along with a head overhaul.
