I have a 2g N/T with just a stock 420a in it. I can smell the oil in the exhaust. I did a compression test and everyone is good. Besides four was under what 1 2 and 3 were. 1-3 were all the same. And then also my rear main seal leakes. Which I'm not really wanting to do because I have to drop my transmission. :( and then again its my daily driver. And I have to do something about the gear inside the tranny cause my speedomoter doesnt work and yes I have changed the gear. But I am looking for a common cause that I can check on why 420a's decide to burn oil. But when I also run it for a while thats when it starts to smoke. But when its not smoking I still smell the burning of oil.

Are you sure that your burning oil? How many quarts are you losing per 1000 miles? You may just be leaking out oil if your losing it.

Well because it smokes and I can smell it. I usually have to add a quart a week. And it smokes after I run it for a bit. But i can always smell it.
