Kinda working backwards but it is what it is LOL. I only had a vapor barrier on the ceiling in the garage before, now it's fully insulated.

I've got about a month off for the holidays, will give me time to get some sort of covering on it, my local place I can get 1/8" sheets of MDF with one side white for $15 a sheet, that would make a nice bright ceiling for not much cost.

Since I hit a couple of roadblocks fixing the TT and the weather changed so I'm not excited about working in the garage, I've shifted to working in the basement on a couple of other delayed projects from back when it got warm and I could work outside.

First is a new S-100 card to revive the machine I bought back in 1978/9. This new board came to me as a blank PCB to be populated this summer.

The second also arrived as a blank board, it's been sitting on the pile for almost a decade. It's a EPROM programmer for the original EPROMs used in these early systems and on the board the new one replaces.

OOPS, need to check the background when taking pictures, that's the same vintage as the computer.

I needed compressed air OUTSIDE of my shop so I put together a few pieces of pipe and some couplers and drilled a whole to get a fixture on the outside shop wall now. I covered it with a weather resistant electrical cover. Worked out great. I need to spray soapy water on the connections to make sure I have no leaks before I plug it in and leave it. :thumb:

Yeah, we got like 6" of snow Saturday so it got sloppy for a few days. I took a half day off work today and it is almost 60* so I figured I would take advantage and give it a quick wash.

Nice job!

I've been wanting to run a line from the garage to the house for blowing out PC's or whatever, would be so handy.

The soapy water uncovered leaks so I disassembled it and put it together with Grey RTV. Works everytime! :thumb:
It is very handy now!

Why didn't I just do it right the 1st time???
I went ahead and layed a hose along the shop and still have about 20' to get to tires!
Perfect!

Loctite 567 thread sealant, best stuff there is, never dries hard so a tube lasts for many years.

I figured out years ago people that need money in general just can’t manage it. It doesn’t matter how many times you help them if the thought process never changes (usually).
This little ladies eye was bulging and ruptured. She was sick and about to go septic also. We run a rescue which seems to be a money dump because it is. (Donations accepted if you want. Anything helps.)
My other projects and house need the love but if this little turd survives I’ll be alright. She’s a lover and all the staff at both vets said the same so she’s worth it. Welcome Tiny. My surrogate set of et streets, JMF fuel cell, coilovers, fpblack and misc. parts kitten 😂. Now go fast little dude.

Installed a few new things. One being a "new" light fixture. DOM 1986. It's a bar light the sat above pool tables. Now sits high in the shop. Very cool, and it's always "Miller Time" in my shop.

I finally had a day that wasn't 40* or under so my son, an extra set of hands, helped get my new, freshly tinted, window put into my pickup. Legal here is 35% but everybody, even the cops, run 20% so it has 20% tint. It looks "professional". So glad to have my truck back that I went looking at Christmas lights in it.

Working on the 1986 Z28.
Trying for a Christmas Day, 70* weather, 1st Start 🤞🤞🤞
It's always a "nervous" time.....flat tappet motor breakin is a fine line of getting it to not flatten cam lobes just down the road.

I got a Christmas first start on the SBC. The distributor was off 1 tooth, so I dealt with that. Finally got it to fire off. It has NOISY rockers....OMG. And #2 & #7 seem dead. I will be pulling the VC's and taking a look.
I wish the report was a badass one with rainbows 🌈 and unicorns 🦄 but I'll figure out why it seems to be mad at me.
BUT HEY, IT DID START ON CHRISTMAS 🎄 :thumb: and I won't ever forget it. :)

Nothing out of the ordinary as perceived by the naked eye and 10 mins. :hmm:

I have 220 in the shop just no NG. If it were all electric, I was afraid it would cost a months check to pay the bill. I hope Jason can let me know how well it works tho.
Mini splits are super efficient Marty. I run my 1 ton in my Florida garage quite often and don’t see a huge increase on power bill.i only use the AC.

It does struggle in the summer though. Need another ton of air in there. Can’t complain for free though.

Maybe a swamp cooler would help out.. I know it puts allot of moisture in the air but the mini split would pull out some out for ya.. just a thought
Like zero room left in there to work with, I do have another mini split I got off a job, this one is a wall mount head I have just enough space to squeeze in there just haven’t decided if I’m going to put it in there or the primary bedroom yet. Main system doesn’t keep that room the same as the rest of the house. Plus the last thing I want in that garage is more humidity, it’s insane. Air handler covered in water like 9 months out of the year.

Omg, where you at anyhow..?? I got you loud and clear, and if I was you that extra head would go in the bedroom for sure..!! I’m lucky because I worked AC installation for a few years and cut in my package unit and every room in the house stays @ 71• I’ve seen many many many installs that aren’t worth a crap because the guys want in and out instead of doing it right.. yeah, you might have to take that crawl into the depths of the roof pitch in the attic to place the supply duct where it should be.. anyhow good luck with the humidity, IT SUCKS THE BIG ONE..!!!
