I like that man. I just got 2 12's type r's. On that 2400w. Sounds nice.

Type r's are pure awesome. They deliver the perfect amount of bass, its not obnoxious to make your car rattle everywhere, even when i turn up the bass to 15 (highest setting for me). It's a perfect quality type of bass, not that shit you hear from riced out civics. good choice man!

Yeah but some times I think this 2400w is too much I got it tuned(by a audio pafirmance shop)and all that. Good setup but I play like dubstep, and I'm hanging out with people and it just hits a bass note and sounds like its going to blow the speaker.

After that I felt the speaker and it like makes a crunching noise when I push on it(to check if it's good) I think their about to blow. I've turned the gain almost all the way down but it's ether no subs or sounds like crap.

Oh and for the word it's all clear it's not dirty. At amp. And the amp is putting out clear not dirty also.

Here's my setup, Alpine!

Currently trying to figure out ideas right now for the amps...already took out what it was bolted onto, going to make a new design for it. Im thinking I'm gonna locate them a little bit lower and then make something to cover them so it can be "stealthy" gonna def. re-wrap it in suede.

Did you make the carbon fiber corner sub boxes or buy them? +1 on wrappin some suede. That's what I did mine in.

A friend of a friend had them made specifically for the car, there 'almost' perfect.

I run a simple 10" subwoofer in a sealed box. The box is about 1-2 cubic inches too small though. But, thats due to the limited space in the hatch, so it's good enough. The sub is a alpine type r dvc at 2ohm etc... the amp is also an alpine with perfectly matching ratings. The thing hits hard as hell and as hard if not harder than two 12" setups I've head.

Sad really since most of the time I'd rather hear the engine and exhaust than my radio.

i have 2 10" jl 10w0 sitting in my closet with a lanzar 1k watt amp already installed under my seat. i plan on replacing the back seats with a sub box so the subs are facing the front of the car. just dont know how to go about compensating for the curves of the back seats and what dimensions the box needs to be.

The best way for the subs to face is towards the back it will hit and sound better cause of the shape of the hatch. We played around with my box facing all different directions and that was what was the best sound.

i agree on that. i don't mind about the system honestly, hearing the engine is my music most of the time, the amps and subs are just a + on top of it.

this is my old one just got a ported enclosure if you have a hatch go ported much better sound just waiting on new cap and ill up date pioneer 3000watt max with crunch 2000w mono

i used the card board as a lay out and cut a wood pce 3/4 thick and self taped it in 4 places its perfectly flat good base for ### ever i want to upgrade to and i can screw shit down so it dont move the wood goes in a lil hard but fits tight and looks great then you can cover it with the oem cloth

i'd like to just replace the backs of the seats with 1 long piece of mdf cut out, the 2 subs facing the front of the car where the backs were, and on the trunk section another piece that makes a trunk wall. Im going to take measurements, and make a drawing in blender, see if i can render out sizes and shapes and maybe print them off somewhere.

Ok, crappy pic. 800 watt mono, 800 watt 4 channel, and a Pioneer 10" Champion series dvc sub, wired @ 2 ohms. .6 cubic foot sealed box with a cover plate that covers the entire trunk space. Its not the cool looking fiberglass, but its the best I could do, and I only have one 10" sub cause I listen to rock and metal mostly and prefer normal levels of bass in my car.

That said, Us with the Turbos are too broke to fix our stereos... Or is that just me. One of these days I'll get back into line of the upgrade path, I've wandered so far it's almost not funny.

excuse the photo using a macbook running windows im not sure how to take a screen grab but i took a cell pic and did the best i could. drew this up using AutoCad, some rough measurements of the back seat area but total cubic in in each box comes to .755in^3. it is a sealed box.

let me know what you think i could improve on. like i said its just a rough idea but it's supposed to be a drop in box from the top of the back seats.

Honestly, this is my favorite setup out of every one in this whole thread. I love how the box fits perfectly and how the spot for the amps is recessed. Looks awesome man.

Thanks ozone! I've built a few boxes in my day, but this one was the worst one to build because of that spare tire hump. I love the way recessed amps look too, it just gives it a completely clean look. Once I get the interior done ( dying carpet, and painting plastic as we speak) I want to put a neon above the amps to accentuate them.

Some nice custom setups in here....Ive never had he balls to design my own enclosure....I always understood that it was important to have the correct airspace for proper sound and I am by no means a mathmatical genius... nor a carpenter.... but for my latest set up......I got tired of messin around with the silly stuff..... I just went straight for the Memphis "face shakers" with the matching Memphis "amp suckers" and made sure they had the Memphis box to fit....(It is waaay heavier than other boxes it's size) and I am not at all disapointed. M12d2 subs and PR 1.500 amps. a 5 farad cap and a planet audio POS DVD head unit (that does what it wants when ever it feels like it {dont ever buy planet audio}) that puts out 80wx4 with alpine type S components all the way around...6.5 in the front. domes under the dash, and 6.5 2 ways in the rear..... Balanced sound all the way around... Its almost dangerous to drive while listening to Dubstep at full volume...you can barely see nor breathe!

......I love it!

Damn!^ That thing must be nuts. It's hard to think when I turn my system all the way up and I'm only rocking a single 12" Rockford T1. How much did that whole setup cost you?
