Thank you. I was going for something simple, hidden, and to still have trunk space. That setup was under $500 for everything excluding the head unit. That includes wiring, speakers, the sub, the enclosure, and the amp. You can find lots of nice stuff for cheap at pawn shops. :thumb:

I have cover's for the speakers but they aren't shown in the pics. I'll try to get an updated pic in a day or two.

Does anyone have a setup where the subwoofer is mounted in the spare tire well and only the top shows through the carpet?

Thanks. :)

These cars should have been two-seaters from the factory anyway IMHO. Cramming anyone into the rear seats is just sadistic.

Try sitting in the back of a honda cr-z then! Our cars are luxury compared to them! Was in the back of a mugen cr-z the other day and oh my its so bad for leg room and head room!!!

Onto the sub bit! I don't have a sub as I don't need one! With the correct setup, amp and speakers its bass is good and still shakes the car and makes alarms go off ha ha that's why I've never put my 2000watt sub in the trunk.

Omg that's so true..I had a buddy with a TA when I got my car, and apparently sitting in the back was compared to the TA..I've never sat in the back of my own car myself, but that's just what I was told..I gave sumone a ride home once, even let the smoke in the back seat..Well long story short that was the last time I ever let anybody sit back there..They put a hole in my seat, when I gave them the ashtray..Now my car has no seatbelts back ther for just that reason...No backseat riders..LOL

i was thinking about doing something like calan's nice setup up by the way. i would like to keep seats or a seat has anyone put anything into the works like that?

You could do a custom box in the trunk all the way across..Unless you want to keep the spare tire and what not..Or you could even cut out the upraised part where the tire goes, and make the box not as tall.. And that's also if you wanted to keep the rear seat..

well i have to keep my spare tire and my battery is in the trunk i was wanting to relocate back to the engine bay but the uicp is in the way. so my thought would be like in the middle where the seat buckle is at but thats ifey if you know what i mean or a seat in the middle, that would also be ghetttttoooo LOL. Well if i think of some way ill get back on this thread and check you guy's thoughts of how it would work or to make up a sketch.

You could always cut the seat, where the seatbelt sticks up..But I think that would look ghetto as hell..Even if you made a box and matched the fabric on the box with the seat color..

Heres a few pics of my setup that I said I would add. It's nothing special, just a few pre-built 12" enclosures laying on their sides. Each with an 07' Kicker CVR (got them cheap, because they're an older model). If only my trunk weren't so damned small.

nice setups! keep em comin. @joseph503 aren't your subs a little starved for air? i do realize however the lack of trunk space though.

The enclosures are each .88 cubic feet. The subs recommend an enclosure size of 1 - 4 cubic feet. So i'm a little on the small end.
However, i'm going to be poly-filling them soon to try and help that out a little but as for right now, its the best I can do.

It was either these 2 boxes ($30 each) or a custom enclosure. I don't really trust myself building a custom enclosure, so I went and got a quote and I was quoted a little over $200 for basically the same thing.

Joseph making a custom enclosure is easy..All you need is a table saw, screws, glue, caulking, basic tape measure skills, and a rotory tool..Well you don't need the rotory toll but it makes it easier..
