I never used my trunk before now, and dont see a reason to coming any time soon. If nothing else, I still have my entire back seat which never gets used.

In any case if I NEED to use the trunk, then I can pull out the boxes, remove the inline power fuse, and flip the switch to my remote wire.

I used to have almost my entire trunk full with a subwoofer enclosure. It isnt usually a problem, buy when you want the space it is a total PITA. That is why I went with the small, simple setup in the second post of this thread. Now I have a nice sounding setup and trunk space. The best of both worlds.

you gotta real nice setup, all it needs now is a ported box! LOL

Here is a pic of my set-up before i got rid of it. I got lots of compliments on it, but i got tired of the bass after a while. I traded the sub and box for a new vis oem CF hood ( I kept the amp).

I want to get rid of the back seats since no one can really sit there and just build a small box and wrap in carpet just like someone had done but with subs.

Hey Calan You didn't write down the specs for that rear sub setup did you?I would like to keep the fold down seats tho, just in case I wanted to put something in the back.I got a set of subs, but dont want to put the big ole box in my car..Ahh I could probably figure it out when I'm ready..Or if I decide to do it at all..

I've got a set of 10's..I love 10's..I still have them in the old box, it's not that large..It fit right behind the backseats, but I do alot of camping in the summer. And I don't want to have to take out the box to go camping..

Thats a really nice job you did there, it looks really clean.

There are some decent looking enclosures. I'm not into systems anymore. Added weight to the car in my opinion isn't any fun.

I love that set up. :thumb: I had my EVO done very similiar (see below) and plan to have my 1G done the same exact way with only one 10" subwoofer and an amp.

I have a pair of fosgate 10s in my trunk (spyder) and I find it allows me to keep stuff in the trunk if I really need to.

@joseph503 Do you ever run into any overheating issues with your amp confined back there?

Hey, sorry I didnt see your post earlier. I haven't had any overheating issues in the time i've had it and I run it pretty hard on my way to work and back(1 hour each way). No problems with the setup at all so far.

Anyone have pictures of a setup where you can still fit golf clubs in the back. If I remember correctly (haven't driven my dsm in a few years) you have to fold down the seats and put them in the long way.

My idea would be trying to mold a custom one in the back corner behind one of the shock towers, where they have that little storage space.
