I am contemplating running one of the new Tial Q bovs which do 60% more air than the regular Tials but I already have the 2 regulars so only time will tell.. +1 for ASAPerf.

Whoa.. PRETTY valve cover color!

Its for sale too along with the -12an line and catch can. I'm thinkin I can remove the spray paint without removing the powder coat. But either way I'll let the new owner deal with it. I'd actually leave it, it looks pretty cool IMO either way.

Ok maybe this is a dumb question but ive searched here and on google and cant find anything.
What is the point of running a twin bov setup, what does it help and why its it needed. At what level of performance do you need to do this.

I would assume when you are running a very large turbo and flowing an enormous amount of air that they are necessary because a single BOV just won't vent enough air quickly. So they have to use two to prevent the backsurge or whatever it's called.

As for when you need it, I have no clue.

When you push soo much air you get compreessor surge because your BOV can't flow enough. Changes are you got a while.

Are you running over 30 psi on that 18g? If not, get a 1g bov and dodge/garage mod it..I don't think your profile has a bov listed, unless you are still running the 2g stock POS..I've never even heard of running two bov's, you know they do make aftermarket bov's that are very adjustable, and can handle over 30psi..

Thought this was an odd question. I mean maybe if hes running 40psi or something then one wouldnt be enough but I have never seen or heard of anything close to that. and yes Boomdeeze 32 psi is a grip. Ill be happy with my 16g @ 20psi (in the future)

If there was a reason for running two BOV's it would probably be due to too much volume of air not boost pressure. 30psi on a 42r and 30psi on a 16g are two completely different things.

Ding Ding! We have a winner :D. It's all about the amount of air. At 18lbs on my Rx-7 I was forced to run dual bov's.

Would 32 psi be considered alot?
On what? PSI is irrelevant unless all other factors are identical.

I ran two crushed 1gs to avoid surge a while back. 1 Tial does the job now.

I already do, and intend on running much more airflow than I currently am. I also run a 1.6L motor and make over 500hp. So my airflow is up there, and I put a lot of larger motor dsms to shame. So my little car, now truck throws down.

I don't have any pictures of it shooting flames out of the hood or fender. It shot 2-3 foot flames out of both the wategate tube out of the hood and the exhaust out of the fender. Sure was entertaining at night. Now my new truck is giong to be automatic, so I may not have the light show anymore.

Let's put it this way, if you need two blow off valves you would know it. And your would likely have a very serious car.
