Copper Exhaust gasket and fittings for my hx52 head feed. I will def be rigging up a oil pressure tester before using my holset as there are to many guys having problems just because of not knowing there oil pressure before using their holset turbos.

Thank Heaven you're going to ACTUALLY MEASURE your oil pressure. :)

I will be measuring right at the fitting to the turbo to not before the filter or even after the filter before the line. That way I will know EXACTLY how much oil pressure I have at the turbo. I might even run a line back into the cockpit to monitor it but that may be overkill.

Over kill is an hx52 on a 4 cylinder engine... I don't think monitoring oil pressure anywhere is over kill....

I will have a in car oil pressure gauge at the oil filter housing but having another at the turbo or right before it is overkill to me. A hx52 is not overkill it's a little smaller than a gt42r but in the same range power wise.

My HX52 didn't come with a threaded feed fitting so Picked up one of those -4an adapter plates off ebay and modded it so it would def flow enough to keep this bad boy lubrciated.

Amazing build you've got going so far. Keep up the good work man! How many times have you painted that manifold now?

Lol I knew someone would ask that. I only coated it really because the guys that rebuilt it kinda scuffed it a little. That and I couldn't find anymore of the VHT cersion of the ceramic coating but they had a Rust-Oleum brand kind that had all the same characteristics so I used that. To make everything look the same shade I gave it a light coat nothing real serious.

I don't know what size the hole is. I tried to make it so that the opening is the same diamtere the whole way. I am feeding from the head with BS removed. This fitting is like using no restrictor which is what I see everyone doing tha feeds from the head.

You plan on running this dsm next year?

If my second job would have never slowed down I would be running it next weekend. But to answer your question yes this thing will be testing and tuning during the off season and by next season reaking havoc on tracks in the tri-state are.

So what are you gonna race me with at the Shoot Out?

Ok, footrace, at the track, 1/4 mile :p

MB

ROFL As long as it's JUST your car I"ll use my Jeep liberty I'm driving up with ROFLROFLROFL

I might actually just run it for kicks. It has a Jet stage 2 race chip short ram intake and cat back exhaust.

Def man your build is so nice other people use your pictures LOLoLOL (J/k to the kid that posted those pics I know it wasn't your fault)

Sept 12th my second job goes full swing again which is like 25-500 more a week so needless to the say this thing will kick back into full gear QUICK!!! I need a Twin disk and either Fluidampner or a ATI balancer so I can get the rotating assembly balanced and buttoned up and some L19's still to slap it all together. After that It's big money saving time for the drive train(mainly the clutch and transfercase). When the engine is in the car with built tcase and a stright cut gear trans I will be a little more anxious and excited right now still feels like I have parts and a shell.

I understand what you mean. I have bought all the parts and the only thing that was put on my talon was just the built tranny from IPT. Seeing everything on the car is amazing and I can't wait to run some Mustangs and look at their faces when a 2.0 runs right by them.

Are you getting the bottom end balanced? Dont do it with the fluidamper, just making sure you know that. Use the factory balancer, then swap on the fluidamper.

Reall why is that? That is the first I ever heard of that? If it's true it's a good thing because it will mean I don't have to wait and save up to buy a fludampner before getting everything balanced.

Edit: Yeah your right carver I just read this on the site

Damper Facts:
1.) Most stock dampers are actually tuned absorbers and do not work when the the engine is modified from the original set-up.
2.) The damper is not a balancer. It's job is to control torsional vibrations.
3.) The silicone inside a Fluidampr will not expire and is not effected by temperature change.
4.) An externally balanced assembly should be balanced with only the counterweight or stock damper installed.
