I know this thread is getting old, but how much boost was the car running at the time?
.. Dsm for the win!!
This is how dsm legends are made.

Mike,
What turbo were you using? Sorry I forgot.

Peak boost was 40 psi.
Ron this was done with a FP T4Z88HTA turbo. And your manifold of course.
congrats! that is alot to be proud of...but how can u rev a stock block to 10k without any issues? also what clutch are u running? congrats again
I'm interested in pushing the stock block. How would you do with a 67mm turbo as far as, "how much power you'll be willing to make"? Also how much boost would you attempt to run? Most I have spoke with say 450 ft pounds is the most you can make and be reliable on a stock block. I put ARP hardware( main, rod, and head studs) to add some reliability. I'm just looking to see what you think? I have a precision unit with a t-3 foot print. I'm willing to be generous with the boost level. My goal is to make power. I just don't want to blow it up.
But I would start off with low boost and carefully watch your logs / tune as you turn it up. I have been running 35 psi for the last 3 seasons.Man you need to get a more up to date turbo!
