Wow! Wow! Wow! and Wow! This is a sick beast for sure. I love to see anything with a 4g63 turbo, so that BMW with the stock block 4g63 with those times is absolutely amazing! Love it!:hellyeah: Good luck with the car in the future.:):thumb:

EPIC!!!!!! Love seeing the 4g63 break records where is it sittin on the fastest overall stock block engine list?

Well damn Kevin, wish you would share the build thread with the DSM masses here on the site, as opposed to only sharing it on a private forum for DSMlink owners. It's nice to give the rest of the community inspiration like this, and it's great for the noobs to be exposed to builds like this, not to mention people from other car communities. Builds like this should be posted for all to see and enjoy. Very cool build, thanks for sharing the results here at least.

Completely agree, but luckily I have access to that site!

Again, love the car.. can't wait to see what it does once you swap the build motor in! :sneaky:

Congrats on the run guys! Not to shabby on just a few passes down the track. Would have liked it to be on a dsm but either way it's still a good run.

looks like ostarmotorsports has their work cut out for them ,what do you think .they will try an beat it??

I'm not really out to beat that record any longer since I would have to do to much to be on the same level as a rear wheel drive th400 car but I will says this... It's 8's or BUST this year :hellyeah:

I've always loved the bimmers, and this one is just so aggressive looking it just makes me want to drive one like it on a daily basis (maybe not as fast of one for streetability, but none the less :D)

I'm amazed at the times some of you guys are cranking out of stock short blocks. I don't see the "record" so much as an "Ostar vs. xxxx" but as a level of accomplishment being persued by a select few and i have to give a big hats off to all you guys with the same amount of respect to each of you.

Being a guy that's probably the most intrigued and driven buy the tunes that go into these types of builds I am going to have to ask what kind of timing curve you're getting out og the car and if there's ever so slight of a chance you'd be willing to share a log with us??? (i'm always willing to share mine but then again i'm not doing what you guys are doing either LOL )

When i hit the lotto i'm building a street legal DD copy of your car (just a heads up :D ) love the stance, but i'd have to have a full interior and A/C :D

best of luck guys and keep up the good work

Ill support you all the way on this. Would love to see you go 8s!!!

Im not really in it for the "claim" so much, I just wanted to get out racing and didnt have the extra finances at the moment to put the good motor together, so thats why it got this motor.

Please keep me updated on your guys progress throughout the year. Ill be heading back on June 2nd for some more passes, ill get an update then....

My timing numbers are way off from what a typical dsm would be, since I use an auto with a brake. My peak timing however isnt too far off from what a factory 2g is like at say 20+ psi and 7500 rpms. When this motor lets go, Ill be more than happy to share this info with you.

Thanks brother! I would love to run some 8's but i'm on a really thin line as it is. I'm still going to push for it regardless ;) and see what happens.

Best of luck this year and put up some more vids. Car looks like it's a fun ride :thumb:

Unfortunate news.

I took the car back to the track Saturday night with the intentions of making an 8 second pass. I had switched some things with the boost controller and it was working like it was supposed to.

First pass on 29 psi, car did a 9.30 @ 142mph . That was 4 psi less than the 9.19 pass. I turned the boost back up to 35 psi for the next pass and things didnt go so well.

Car was not coming up on the brake like it should have, i left the line shifted 2nd and as soon as i shifted 3rd the motor let go. Spit the #1 rod and piston out the block and cracked it all the down to cylinder 4. When it let go, it oiled the track down with me going just over 120mph and it sent the car sideways, i threw the chute as fast as i could but it was too late, the car hit the wall on the driver side and came to a stop.

I walked away untouched, had my fire suit on and the car has a 25.5 SFI spec in it with proper equipment. Junked the entire bottom end and the head core and valves. The car is fixable but it will definitely take time. The body isnt as bad as it could have been. The wheels are fine but all the tires are junk.

Yes, i should have had a diaper on the motor and had even had a conversation about it earlier in the day. I learned from my mistake!

Ill be back at it someday!!!

Sorry to hear about the car. At least you are ok. So how about that log now like you promised ;)

Glad your OK!!!

Thanks for pushing it. Its something that comes to mind a lot when running a stock block at these levels.

Amazing car, sorry to hear about the incident. What let go, rod bolts? What were you revving to? Curtis because i'm on stock rods with ARPs.
