This has been a goal of mine for over three seasons, so I am thrilled I finally did it. This stock block simply amazes me, the abuse it has seen! :)

I did not think it would happen today, the outside temp was around 40 degrees, no sun and no heat on the track. Great air for power but not for traction. NED did their best, dragged the track and sprayed it, but it was just too cold.

Anyway, first pass, the car spun hard and hit the rev limiter ( 10,000 ), this caused me to miss second, ran a 11.1@135. Everyone was spinning bad, even the RWD race cars. I let it cool off an hour or so and went back up. Here is the full slip:

1.49 - 60'
330 - 4.22 >>> New best
1/8 - 6.44 >>> New best
MPH - 114 >>> New best
1000' - 8.38 >> New best
1/4 9.98 >>> New best
MPH - 140.68

The car was ALL over the track for the first three gears! Watch the steering wheel. ;) I really did not think this was the pass, but I looked at the time clock as I went through and saw the 9. I was pumped!

A big thanks to all of you, my fellow DSM enthusiasts. You all help drive me to keep pushing on. :) I would also like to thank the following for various reasons/help/ support:

Leon Reitman
Bruce Kwartler
Doug Elfman
Kevin Jewer
Jimmy Read

I know it sounds like I just won on Oscar, but this has been a long battle. This pass is now a DSM 4G63 Stock block record! I am also proud of that. No one has ever done it. I think this block will be retired once and for all, it has served me very well.

I would also like to thank my sponsors / vendors that have been good to me:

Forced Performance
Fuel Injector Clinic
Bushcur Racing
Shearer Fabrications
Shepherd Transmissions

Now I have some time to relax and think about next season.

Congrats on the pass it is well deserved as you are an inspiration for me and my buddy (Ostar Motorsport) to keep pushing he's car on the stock block :) keep up the good work and hope to see some more records... Bravo

Congrats and very nice work!!! Around here that is equal to an Oscar!!!

It never ceases to amaze me what a properly built DSM can do. And on a stock block and internals, simply amazing. Good job

Congrats! I definitely can relate to how long it sometimes takes, and the effort it takes to get from one side of a number to the other.....great way to cap off the 2010 race season.
