stock is much heavier.
do you know what he used for 2/3/4?

my interpretation of the mystery lingo on the slip is 2g dsm 2nd gear, 97-99 though and 1990 ( HD)3/4.

thats a solid setup.

Sorry Hawkeye. Honestly have no idea.

It took me 10 hours to bolt up the trans. 8 hours using floor jack and it got stuck between the front diff, water pipe and the input shaft. Kicked a few boxes and bought a hoist and engine stand off craigslist. Took me two hours to dislodge it and was finally able to line the thing up and bolt her down. It was frustrating to say the least and I don’t recall my 2g being this hard.

Could have used a thicker washer to shim the pivot ball but it’s dead center and don’t have issues when clutch is pressed

Also did the 608 bearing mod for the shift cable.

We’re in the home stretch. Just need axle nut washers which were missing.

Spare trans is going in. Having drag issues so I’ll be bringing the flywheel back to the machine shop to accurately measure the step height while I’m there. Also found two of the pressure plate bolts loose, one more than the other. Idk if that’s the cause of the drag. Really hope it is.

Something must have happened to the transmission when the clutch disc came apart. This is fresh fluid with 5 miles on it.

Hey Tony, what brand paint did you use on the trans? If you have a pic of the can that's awesome. If not, info please!

I'm taking off work for a week in March to drop my trans and I figure I could shine it up a bit too.

Picked up a set of busted door panels with good parts for cheap. Cleaned up decent and will swap these over after I reupholster the arm rest cover. Also picked up a set of black leather seats in decent condition which needs stitches up. Luckily the wifey has awesome skills on the sewing machine.
