FYI, I took a chance with the knockoff HKS Bovs in the past. You can find my threads searching HKS as title.
The old SSQV knockoff was always doomed to failure, because of the inferior design of the diaphram. And it is not like the Greddy knockoff where you can easily replace it. Once the diaphram rips on the SSQV knockoff, its done, theres no way to really replace it, esp due to theri design.
THEN I tried the Hks Racing Type II knockoff, SAME. it "LOOKED" like the more superior bov, but on the inside it was the same.
At that point I concluded that even the Greddy knockoff is better if you were going to get a knockoff, because again the diaphram can easily be replaced and it will be a working bov.
Your going to have to monitor this "NEW" one you are getting, and compare it to a "REAL" one, to sway any of us to become believers because pass history doesn't already has it on the fail column.
