I recently just ported my 6 bolt oil filter housing I was just wondering if what I ported was good enough or should I port a little more then go from there. The original problem I’m having is having 75psi of oil pressure around 4k rpm 6 bolt 4g63 bored no oil squirrels and B.S delete. I’ve watched Jafro video and I took that into consideration as well but I’m just hoping I did this right it’s very nerve racking

This doesn't sound too high to me.

Please do not port the OFH blindly more, you may ruin the OFH. You don't need it more unless you have an actual issue by high pressure and until you see the actual pressure. You can still control the oil pressure by shimming the pressure relief valve plug or using a softer spring.

75 psi at 4k was/is what I had/have regardless of porting volume. Last engine was torn down at 30k and there were no indications of any oil supply issues. Pump was Melling With helical gears so it predictably wore but not unusable, probably would have gone for another 25k

Make sure you clean up or ever so slightly chamfer the inner ported area edge so that it doesn't catch the piston and scratch or bind it.

Oil Squirrels?
I just realized my post said that maybe I should revise my post next time before embarrassing myself 😅

It looks kind of botched but without the piston in it’s hard to tell. Need more pictures

Hard to tell without the piston being in the hole. I use it as a guide to make sure I don’t go too far and ruin the housing.

This is my stopping point I’m hoping this is enough and not too much as well if it’s still high I’ll just resolve to cutting little by little of the spring

Any test results of this project? I’ve got about 75 - 80lbs cold, 11ish lbs hot at idle. Roughly 64 lbs at 70 mph/5th gear at 3100k rpm.
