You just like mW because I point out how pathetic landspeeed is.
Well here lately landspeed has been cool. I can say he recently gave me some advice that was right on time. I guess it all depends on how he is feeling on a particular day. On a good day he is alright! But when he is having one of those forum moments look out, its on :argue:

How do you make use of that power with FWD?
Well its not as bad as you may think. 25psi pull. the car hauls very nicely this can be contributed to the rpm/gear base boost control feature in dsm link. Set the boost lower in the lower rpm and gradually increase to full boost around 6800rpm onward

Nice job Kelvin! Now help me make that kind of power :)
I am no expert but 700whp and under I can certainly help with! I can tell you what worked for me at all power levels up to 700 and what didn't work as this will save you a lot of time and money. all recommendation for a daily driver.

Sic Man!!ROFL :hellyeah:

Care to show what your timing map looks like. I just ditched my little holset for a borgwarner 6266 off a tractor LOL. It's making a lot of power but it's a whole new ball game.

Is this still with the cyclone intake?

Na its not with the cyclone. I heeded your advise and got me a JMF street version SMIM! As far as timing I will see if I can pull it off of link.

Working that turbo a little hard arnt you LOL
I turned it back down to 36psi :thumb:

Good job! Keeps my motivation going and shows DSMs are still doing big things!
At that power level, are we talking drag radials all the time?

Oh those poor little axles and tranny are going to feel the wrath of 590ft lbs of V8 like torque. I feel sorry for those things!!! :cry:LOL
Yeah it the 4th autozone set. I haven't broken one yet but can't seem to keep the boot together, this is the boots on the tranny side.

Seems about right for a 62mm. Are you planning on trying to drive it down the track at all?

Those autozone axles are way worse than OEM. I think you would be alright with a true OEM axle. I also dont think that a drag radial will do much to help make that power work on the street LOL. Didn't help me much at least.

Haven't been to the track this year yet but i do plan to get a run or two in here soon. I just may give the oem axles a try next. Thanks for input.

Good job. With almost 600 ft lbs TQ I would stay the f*** away from drag radials. :)
I hear what you are saying loud and clear. I will be upgrading the cams from the bc272 to bc276 sometime this week as well as running a bigger fuel line. Hopefully the cams will drop the torque number enough to eliminate torque concerns;)

I was on the list for the ga 1/2 event for some reason when the event went live I was bumped out of my slot. I have sent several emails and all they can say is that I have been put on the waiting list and an email will be sent. I was talking with a local dsm friend and he is concerned about me entering the event and the thought of going some crazy speed in the 1/2 without a roll cage. I plan to have a cage before September for sure just incase a spot opens. As it goes the keltalon project still have a few more goals to accomplish:D
  • cam upgrade
  • roll cage
  • second brake upgrade
  • fuel feed and return lines

Okay I need some input on fuel feed. Instead of going all out most of you guys know me to be a stepper first. So here is what i am thinking If I just run a -6 feed line from the stock -6 location near the tank to the golan fuel filter and -6 to the magnus fuel rail, should this be enough? Just trying to get some input. I do know anything above my current stock line set up will be an upgrade. Thanks in advance!

I can understand some stepping in places, but I don't see any reason why not to do a -8 feed all the way from the tank to the rail and do a -6 return. The cost of the job is not terribly high, but that's what I would do in your case, and that is what i did for my case as well.

Since the stock size is a -5an, or 5/16" I would say that your next step (since you're a stepper) would be -6. Like you say, anything above your current setup is going to be an upgrade. It's the next logical step for a stepper like you. :) If you find out it's still not enough you'll just have to step up to the -8. I think you will be pleasantly surprised to find out how far the -6 will take you though. :thumb: Good luck!
