I just noticed today that FP has new pics for the DSM Green turbo.
The words on their web page are still the old words, so mostly wrong info there I think.
So, does anybody have the info on this turbo?
What turbine wheel I wonder? The old evo green had a td06sL2 basically. The new evo green uses a wheel like the one in the Red but 2mm smaller. The old DSM green used a td06H.
The compressor housing: The new one is an FP housing. Not the td06 20g housing like on the old green.
The compressor wheel: In the pic it looks like a 7 blade HTA wheel. I think. Hard to tell from the camera angle and lighting.
I wonder if this is the same wheel as the 73 HTA Green in the current evo green turbo. Except for rotation direction. That wheel is "rated" at 54 lbs per minute. That could be pretty interesting.
Looks like it comes with an internal wastegate. If this actually works pretty well, this could be an easy and relatively low cost way to get into this size range for a lot of people.
Hmm, wonder about the thrust bearing. Would it be the steel on steel bearing like in the evo Red and Black? Or a normal and proper dissimilar materials bearing.
