Hello everyone,

Just here to ask and see if anyone recently has bought the new dsm UHF line of turbos?
Whats the spool like, better power delivery? Exhaust tone difference?

Well I bought an FP UHF Green to replace the billet 20g with the sl2 turbine, in hopes that I can pass the 50lbs/m marker at 30psi and keep the same spool rpm (4200-4400 full spool), I'm at 4500ft of elevation or 6500 DA on most good days here.

I just wanted to see if anyone one of the newer turbos for the dsm, I'll be posting up pics and videos and hopefully dyno comparisons as-well, since both the green and billet 20g are close to the same spec.

I've had three users surpass 50 lb/min with the identical 20G to what you've posted...KTS D655 compressor on an 11-blade TD06SL2 turbine; one of those users trapped 134mph even still using an internal gate although none of them were anywhere near your altitude. I'm a bit curious as to why you spent all that money to go from a 52.5mm turbo to a 52.5mm turbo....I would've at least gone with the 76HTZ compressor on the same turbine to reach your airflow requirement at such an elevation.

I've heard that too from the guy that built mine here locally has told me about the 20g variants youve built, I could never get this turbo to get past 48 to 50lbs/m, I'm not sure if this is related to the compressor housing but I get what seems like a surge boost goes from 28 to 30 down to 25 than 27psi from 4800 to 5400 from there it tapers down to 25psi and I can't get it to go any higher not matter how much I preload the internal gate.

The reason why I didn't go to the 76htz is the Transmission on this truck is torque limited, plus the additional spool time I felt like it would make this truck less fun for me. Maybe I've made a mistake in getting this green and not the Red, but since there was no one that has ran these new variants I just settled for green, as I got a stupid good deal on at the time of purchase.
 
I can tell you with confidence it's definitely not related to the compressor housing. You can pre-load the gate all you want...if the spring isn't sturdy enough it's going to blow open. So a stronger actuator would've likely solved the unsteady boost control problem.

Being torque-limited would be even more reinforcement to go with the larger compressor at a lower boost level to reach your power goal. The 100-200rpms of additional lag from the 3mm-larger compressor would also smooth the torque delivery.

Worse case I'll be on the same boat with this turbo as far as power goes. My I DM you? I have a few additional questions for you
 
The green is in, just needs an IC pipe built and it'll be ready to jam again!
