just a cool little thing i found, i was looking at a mazda millinia with the miller cycle v6 supercharged engine in it, and it has a black top cas in it. the shaft is longer than the ones from a dsm but im sure it could be replaced. has the mitsu logo and everything!

Apply proper voltage to proper terminal(s) and monitor output; see if it even outputs the correct signal form. Report back. Interesting find.

(Mazda, along with many other manufacturers, actually uses quite a few Mitsubishi components. Helps to be a major manufacturer in electronics. The Mazda Cronos I salvaged ECU connectors from for my 2G ECU swap had a Mitsu ECU and a Miata I was looking at had a coil, PTU, and some other random bits.
But that doesn't necessarily mean they act the same way. The PTU was a different pin layout. :()

I wonder how common the Millenia S is around here..
