I recently put new valves in my head, I have a 6 bolt bottom end on my 98 GST. After putting everything back together my car is not running good, I know for sure I have a bad water pump gasket, but my idle sits around 1800-1900 and surges once warm ranging from 1300-2000

Here are my numbers from ecmlink
O2 = 0.20v
Isc position = 52
Airflowperrev = 0.40
Tps = 0.40
5.1% combinedft
5.1% sdft
Airflow is around 12-13
Timing ranges from 20-32 degrees.

I need help figuring it out.

In the first post you said “I need help figuring it out”.

I said you have vacuum leaks.

In the 2nd post you said I know that but I cannot figure out where.

So what is it actually?
I cannot figure out where, car is idling and it’s to loud to audibly hear any leak

Do a BLT and spray slightly soapy water around, look for bubbles.
It could be anywhere from intake manifold gasket to the post-maf connection.
I’ll try that

Post the log. A snapshot of numbers doesn't tell us much.

Post a picture of your engine bay

You can buy a smoke test machine and use it to find vacuum leaks

My go to method is on a cold engine spray brake cleaner or carb cleaner all around the intake manifold and fuel injectors while the engine is running. Once the spray hits the vacuum leak you will hear the idle dip and even out

On a head job there could be several places for a vacuum leak, missing hoses, loose fuel injector o ring into the intake manifold, bad intake manifold gasket, missing throttle body gasket etc

Your problem is common for a large job, you could have missed a vacuum line or one of the fuel injectors isn’t sitting 100% flush into the intake and letting into the intake
