Had problems with it dying after warm up. Adjusted the idle screw, sprayed some sea foam in. Had it idling fine for 5 minutes then it started to rev to 3k. Dirty throttle body or something else?

What's the CEL code?
AFR at 15.5 seems a little lean to me. Was that closed loop?
Culprits for hunting idle could be, but not limited to: ISC, improperly adjusted BISS, post-throttle plate vacuum/boost leak, idle stop too high, throttle cable too tight, improperly adjusted TPS, FIAV, ECU.
Unrelated but you might want to install an upper timing belt cover. A small piece of debris could make for a very bad day.

it could be the throttle cable needs adjusting, but you need to do a boost leak test first

Have it I cleaned the throttle body and it was dirty so that fixed the high rev but now it’s dying like it has bad gas I put water treatment it I’d idles fine on closed loop I do need to get a tune as it is cammed I was just trying to get it to idle

Ive checked everything I don’t think I have any leaks dirty throttle body cammed no tune and old gas it needs a drive and tune badly

i just watched your video and that car is very modified. you need to do a boost leak test and not be shy about learning how to do it. report back on the results but it seems like you have a vacuum leak

I wouldn't say it sounds cammed at all, I woild say you have an idle surge. are you running a mass air flow sensor? has the Fiav been bypassed? is it running speed density? have you uploaded an log of the idle?

Again, what is the CEL code?

I know how to leak test it. it is cammed mas air flow sensor I need to data log but don’t have access to my scanner currently to set the idle screw and the rest of the throttle body.
the throttle body was the cause for the idle surge. I believe it’s water in the gas and a plugged fuel filter as well and it’s running on a old 7bolt tune on the ecu or maybe a shitty base map tune

The amount of times I've heard "bad gas" from diagnostics....and it ever being true....are slim to none. It does happen, but this is a modded turbo DSM.... you need to start with the basics and stop ignoring the advice well known members are giving you. IF you give crap inputs, you will get crap responses.

How long have you had this car? Were all these modifications done before you got it?

I started with mine as a new purchase, so all the changes were known to me as I did them. If this is your first DSM with no previous experience with the 4G63T engine, please give some background on what cars you have worked on in the past, and what your goal is for this one.

I haven’t ignored anything I just took off the gas lines it doesn’t even smell like gas and probably did have some water in the tank but I put water treatment in everyone has helped me I literally started with a ball of wires I appreciate all the help I’ve been given

2 months I’ve had the car.

I installed snound system and replaced the dummy light and oil pressure regulator and a few gaskets and most of the hoses in the engine bay. Vacuum lines too. Window regulator and passenger door handle I’ve taken everything apart except for the transmission and engine below valve cover. Also Taken off the turbo.

I’ve spent days watching videos and reading the forums here I have the help of my grandfather who has built thousands of engines and been a mechanic for 50 years I have done a 2018 Subaru and a Toyota Celica. Will be rebuilding the fa 20 dti next after I get a tune.

I believe my issue may be a small vacuum leak somewhere but I can’t find it I will be putting smoke in it but it’s running on complete wrong tune with all the mods so that’s also definitely an issue with me not having the proper equipment to set the idle screw

You have the 1G throttle body without the IPS which means the throttle plate is fully closed. This will cause unstable idle in many cases. And make sure you have the 2G TPS (4 Pin), not 1G TPS (3 Pin) otherwise you have no IPS.
You have to start from properly adjusting the throttle body by following FSM.

What size is the idle position screw or is there a place you can buy them I can find the biss but not ips

That's correct, you have the 2g TPS.

And that you called "Missing screw" in the video is also works as stop screw to determine the position of throttle plate. You would need it to adjust the throttle body properly.

You can buy a new or used. New is kinda expensive, so better look for an used first. I am sure someone has it for sale. You should make a WTB post.
I think there is a post how to make it, too. But I can't find it somehow.

This is the one you are missing.

What about the wire it is pictured with that is the part that is deleted when doing the 1 g throttle body on 2g ?

The part number 07702 is what the 4 pin replaces is what I’m asking? I have asked the Dsm people around my city but I will probably be making one myself if the wire isn’t necessary for my setup

I assume you are talking about the wire for the 1g IPS. That's a 1g thing. The 2g TPS has the IPS (Idle switch) internally. So if your car is 2g with 2g harness, then you wouldn't need to wire the 1g IPS. The Yellow/Red wire in the video you upload above is the one for the 2g IPS. But you would still need the 1g IPS physically (or something instead of that) to set the throttle plate full closed position.
