GI: Carbon/Kevlar/Fiberglass parts

I do not forsee making any full wings. I will offer wrapping services, but I dont see myself doing the wings. The lip is on the list currently, and if there is enough talon interest, I can have the center sections for those (and the eclipse) on the To Do list as well

its just snap on covers to "black out" the parking lights{or as i call them...slim lights .} i think VIS made them...but like i said, almost impossible to find now.

can you find any old pics of them?

well of course, when i had mentioned all the parts that i would like to see in carbon fiber, that also meant wrapped in carbon aswell. i would like to see many carbon fiber wrapped parts for alot of the first gen OEM parts. this will be a great turnout.

Ahh i see, now i know what they are. people these days usually have them tinted, but i've seen those snap on ones back in the day.

Keep it on topic guys I'll be offering wrapping services, so if you wanted your "slim lights" done, I'd be more than happy to wrap them once set up...even coat them in a nice auto clear coat to help with UV protection.

...I've sold some parts but need to order my carbon fiber and resins, at least for wrappings. I also need to sell a few more things so I can get everything I need for molds. I've got powder on order for powder coating, I just need to get an oven...hopefully this weekend. There's lots of good news, just none that means anything yet

I would just want a 2g sunroof plug. It doesn't have to be functional as I want to rid the 2g of all that extra weight.

wrapping is most likely what will be more feasible to do instead of creating a whole carbon fiber dash for a 2g.

True carbon dash will be in the works for someone who has already contacted me, but the price will be up there. Its a complicated piece and will require a good amount of time. I also don't see it being one that alot of people would purchase. If I could get a group buy together for one at some point, I could make it a little cheaper.

Sunroof plug will also be on the list for 1gs and 2gs.

As for the oven, I'm hitting up craigslist for a standard home oven. After I get a few parts knocked out, I'm going to look to acquire another oven, or at least the heating elements and build my own so I can do wheels and bike frames. I also need to build a sand blasting cabinet so that I can recycle my media and not spend as much as I would otherwise. For now, I'll be doing chemical stripping and minor blasting.

Powder is here, oven this weekend, carbon on the way, more parts ordered tomorrow. Nothing is done or for sale yet.

Just another suggestion for a good product would be rally flaps for 1g's and 2g's. They don't necessarily have to be carbon fiber but more on the lines of a hard molded plastic. Just my two cents. GL with the start of the business.

I could totally dig some CF stuff. I'm doing all my body work and paint this winter so CF dress up items are on the list...

any front lip for a talon 2gb front bumper would be nice, as yes it already has the aggressive look, but a lip made for the bumper and not a cheapskate homemade thin piece of plastic or metal that dont even stand out...ugh!! just a thought!!

Sorry for the delayed response guys. I've been extremely busy lately, just trying to make ends meat. Right now, I've had to put the carbon fiber on pause as money has been pretty tight after my move. With it taking a while to find a job that can actually cover all of my bills, I had to tap into the money I was going to use towards getting everything going AND had to part out the truck. I HAVE, however, gotten set up with a small oven for powder coating, but I'm still working on practice pieces for some of my friends locally and will have to wait to offer the services to fellow dsm'ers until I'm satisfied with my own work. Its pretty close, but not there yet for me, and as I've said before to you all...Nothing that I do is going to be subpar. Carbon fiber products will come...there just may be more of a delay than I had planned on guys. Sorry to have kept you all out of the loop for as long as I have.
