GI: Carbon/Kevlar/Fiberglass parts

EDIT: Ok guys, the poll is up. I left the option to vote multiple times, but I do not want you guys voting 10 times for the same thing. If you have a top 2 or 3 that you'd purchase first or would really like to see made (with the intent of purchasing) vote for those 1 to 3 choices. I've been on the forums for a good while now, and will shortly be moving to Augusta, GA. Once there I will be officially opening Justice Racing. The goal is eventually hire on some dedicated workers and move to mig, tig, powder coating, paint, carbon, kevlar, and fiberglass fabrication. From full blown intercooler/turbo kits (depending on car) to carbon and kevlar parts and as much in between as possible.

Once I move I'll have some money from my current employer that I will acquire from a cash out and will be starting with carbon fiber/kevlar/fiberglass parts. I'm starting with smaller items (i.e. not super duper awesome wide body kits) to get the business going and to try and show some of the quality. I know we dont have DSM's because we are rich. We have them because we enjoy (read hate) them but I also know we dont have money for super expensive items.

For the start, I will be looking to use a 2g center tail light (center piece people paint) and making a carbon option for it. I really dont know what you guys want or if this would even peak anyone's interest. I am also looking to possibly do timing and spark plug covers. If you guys have any ideas please pitch them. Big or small, I'll respond and we can work it out.

Again, right now I am just seeing where interest is for this, and if I feel there is enough support, I will attempt to become a vendor/sponsor/mini sponsor on here so that I can actually try to distribute the products to you guys.

How about the rear lip like 386 did but in better quality, I know a lot of people signed up to buy that and never got their lips... I'd pay for a cf molded cargo cover as well and some fog light covers.

There is quite a bit of interest in a sunroof plug made out of carbon fiber or fiberglass, and no one has delivered that I know of. I think a lot of people want one that is removable like a t-top to replace the motor and tracks and save some weight, but I think getting one to seal has been a problem. I have seen a paper thin, poor quality rear "lip". All it looked like was an overlay and fit terribly. I've got an idea for a front lip on a 2g and could probably do one on the rear lip pretty easy. As far as the sunroof went, I would need to actually get the glass from a 2g's sunroof. Would you guys want the sunroof plug with or without brackets? If your removing the rails and motor, I'd assume you'd want some sheet metal brackets or something cut in order to actually have it stay in place, correct? I'm not too familiar with the 2g's, much less their sunroof set up. Also, would you want it with the weather stripping in order to help it seal?

Im not sure about other people.. but as far as the covers go, for me its just for show.

I'd keep my original cover to adjust timing and just throw on the CF one for looks

Ive only got 1 acc belt so its not difficult for me

Sounds good. Muliple opinions are welcome, but it'll only be made one way. If it were mine, there would be no timing marks and the cover would be smooth. Either way, the cover shall be smooth, but the rest will be up to a majority vote. On another vehicle I'm lookin into making parts for there has been a huge demand for a clear gas door. Is this something you would want made out of clear plastic or carbon or translucent (i.e. see thru red, black, blue w/e) plastic? I know the concern on the other car was because the fuel door was plastic and loved to chip. I know Mitsu made ours out of metal, so I dont know if this would even be an interest. Thanks again!

Starting small would be parts like canards that fit the OEM 2GB front bumper, upper timing belt cover, spark plug cover, radiator "cooling plate", maybe some DIY ducts, tail light/gas door covers, etc.

More involved/larger parts could include splitters, lips, difusers, cargo area covers, air bag covers, etc.

Probably the toughest and most involved parts that a lot of people may want but few would pay for would be full dash replacements, interior panel replacements, body panels, under car panels, etc.

Props to you for endeavoring to start a company like this

I definately would want a carbonfiber sunroof plug. One that deletes the motors, rails and everything so it just perminately mounts in your roof.

i have a 2g parts car with pretty much full interior, air bags and everything. sunroof too

i know theres interest in a passanger aigbag CF replacment and im sure one for the driver side too, and niot just a CF wrap but a complete replanment

Definately interested in what you could come up with for the 2g sunroofs. I have a sunroof glass with frame (in decent shape, won't seal) that could be sent out for a mock-up for measurements.

Are you talking about making two holes, equal to the size of cam gear? That would be pretty sweet

A 2Gb carbon fiber center tail light section would be awesome! I've been wanting to black mine out for awhile not but never have the time, if that was made I would def. be purchasing one. Also a 2Gb front lips would be great too as they're becoming more scare to find.

the evo 9 MR's have these side flares near the rear tires i think they look neat, if you could mold something to flow with the eclipse side skirt i would be interested.

also maybe some carbon head light eye brows

Its not only the vr4 galant man. Its the biggest galant community in the world 6th-9th gen galants. I own a 7th gen and we are in DIRE need of some cf stuff. Id love to see a cf trunk come into production... Just join and let ppl know whats going on if you would like.

Can you guys post a lip of the 2gb that you are interested in? I want to keep most of it clean, but let me know what YOU guys want to see! I'm also going to be needing some parts for mock up and such. When I'm ready, I'll let you know but they will be as follows for now.

Valve cover with spark plug cover (valve cover can be cracked as long as spark plug cover bolts in)

upper and lower good condition spark plug covers

2g center section for tail lights
