My brother just bought a 95 Eclipse GS today, the 2.0 N/A, and when we were looking around for issues with the fuel delivery, we found a line coming off of the end of the fuel rail into a T fitting and one of the ends were just hanging nowhere. The car has little power first starting out, starts acting like it wants to blow up from 4k to 5k RPM, then rides out after that, but does the same thing in every gear. We replaced the plugs already but I have 0 experience with DSM. I'm a Chevy guy, just trying to learn a new platform. As far as we know, the only mods done were a CAI, a tower bar, lowering springs, Greddy headerback exhaust, and bigger injectors put on it. He said they were "240" injectors, but I don't know if he meant 240sx or 240cc (which seems awefully small to me). Like I said, I don't know much about these but we're trying to fix it to make it run right. We're going to put the stock injectors back into it because changing out injectors without tuning is not something I'm comfortable with doing. Any help would be great and sorry if this similar situation was posted elsewhere, I did search but found nothing.

What makes you think it's a fuel problem? 1st check the injectors and see what type they are. Do you have a CEL on?

The CEL is on but we haven't checked it yet. I only assume it's a fueling problem due to the way it acts and how PO changed the injectors. Also, do you know what that line is? Like I said, it comes off of a T fitting at the end of the fuel rail and is just cut off hanging in the engine bay. I can also smell fuel when I'm driving it

That is a vac line that goes to the FPR. It needs to be connected to the intake manifold. Also your profile says a 95 spyder but the picture is a 420a which did not come in the NA spyders. And do change back to factory injectors. Swapping to larger injectors doesnt nothing but hurt you. Even with something to tune with there is no reason for larger injectors with bolt ons.

When I looked up the VIN, it said 95 Eclipse GS but my only options on there were GS-T or GS Spyder. I don't know much about them but I know it's N/A, not turbo. I'll check the vacuum lines. It acts like it doesn't have much power at all. We'll see what happens after swapping the injectors back but now I think there's a fuel leak. I filled the tank today and drove it about 20 minutes and it used up over a quarter of a tank and I could smell fuel bad. Thanks for the responses, I'm going to check into the fuel system tonight when I get off.

Thanks for the help. Swapped the injectors back to normal, put that line where it's supposed to go, changed the oil, changed the plugs, she's riding like there was never a problem. CEL went away as well.
