FP valve springs??

They are NOT stock evo springs. They are the same upgraded beehive springs they offer for the Evos also on their website. For DSMs they provide the stock Evo aluminum retainers and you reuse the stock DSM spring seats. I have these in my head with FP4Rs and have had zero problems revving to 9000rpm, as their website states is the limit on 4Rs.

I see they come with aluminium retainers. How is aluminium vs titanium? Would there be any problems? For about $30 less I can get manley standard spec SS springs with titanium retainers.

Don't have first hand data but I think the aluminum evo retainers are actually lighter then the typical aftermarket titanium single spring retainers. I had thought the same as I'm already running aftermarket springs & titanium retainers & thought, is the FP spring really an upgrade? I did see some test data online & it seems that just going by seat pressure isn't the whole story, as this isn't the only thing that determines how well a spring will follow a cam profile. From what I've read the evo setup is very light, which is a big plus. The data I saw had titanium retainers around 7.5 grams while the evo ones were 3.9. The evo springs were also lighter. Not sure how the FP springs compare, I inquired if their "evo" springs are OEM or an aftermarket version with higher seat pressure, etc but haven't heard back.

Hmmm, I know aluminium is light but I know its weaker than titanium. Whether thats an issue or not is beyond me. I don't think the retainer takes THAT much abuse.

I love Forced Performance but their site needs a tad more info on some of their products.
