I was given ferrea dual valve springs out of a 3000gt vr4. My friend who gave them to me said they will fit in a dsm head. I am looking at ferrea's website and it shows different part numbers but it doesn't mean they are different it could mean that one is a set of 16 or one is a set of 24.

Does anyone have any information about this?

Well, the vendor specs for Kiggly springs seems very close.

DSM:
- 325lb/in Rate
- 97lb Seat Pressure at 1.440"

6G72:
- 325lb/in Rate
- 93lb Seat Pressure at 1.455"

Not sure how the spring seat varies in size though. Best bet might be to give a vendor a call.

According to this quite informative website importperformanceparts.com they are the same seat and retainer and the only difference is the package number due to the obvious extra parts needed. The diameter is the same and it reports identical seat pressures at two different heights.

The 6g72 springs are shorter installed height, so they will need some shimming to make work.
