1G Fan blower resistor? Need to be grounded?

hello everyone . i had to relocate this resistor afew inches for my turbo could fit it was touching the compressor housing.
,does it need to be body grounded(with its 10mm bolt?) i have it cable tied to the other fan :p

No, it does not need to be grounded.

However, the mounting for the resistor will act as a heat sink, pulling heat away from the resistors, which (in theory) ought to help improve the resistor’s longevity.
 
THANKS ALOT. iv been told on a facebook group to delete it and let the fan run at full speed
