So I installed tephra V7 and switched all my maps over. I made sure that all the same values were copied over from my old ROM to my new one. Problem is, I can't get the car to start with V7. It just keeps cranking...almost like the immobilizer is not disabled. I put a value of 0 in for the immobilizer ('000000' or whatever it is), but the car still won't start. Is there something else that needs to be done to disable the immobilizer, or is there something else I'm missing?
You need to also disable it in periphery bits. If you have your bit FCA listed in hex then you want to change it to 0x56D2 if you have it listed as a blobit then you want to change it to:

Only one of those changes is necessary but I'm not sure which one because immobilizer isn't labeled but you may as well use my settings because they take care of rear02, a common idle CEL with 9653, and a couple of idle smoothing issues.
Do you mean FAA instead of FCA? The immobilizer is listed in FAA, correct?

Finally got a flash plug from a buddy and I just thought that I would confirm for everyone on here that you can indeed take one from any NT 2g. The 2g NT plugs have a couple of extra wires but that is AFAIK the only difference.
Now i just gotta do some more tuning and get rid of this throttle tip in (already have a good idea of how to fix this). So far i love the fact that i can finally hear my laggy turbo spool and that i don't have that ugly maf/small filer instead a 4"X9" AEM dryflow took its place.Yeah mine look pretty close to that, I added 8 to all the values and its a lot better but still goes a bit lean. Are u still using the provided ve tables or did u make you own?
On another subject whatare all ## names? I think there's just a few if us who post on here regularly and I would like to put some names to screen names.
ok got it to work the interior lamp fuse was blown. so i flashed v7 and tried logging and got these ridiculous values for the 2byte stuff.. has any one else gotten crazy numbers?

Mine runs really wacky on v7. As soon as i go into boost the car starts knocking and stuttering like crazy. I've copied every single map and setting over, and it still runs really bad.
I'm thinking it may have something to do with me running a modified version of the 96530006 xml. I went through it and commented out all of the stuff that was added, but it still runs like crap.
Anyone have any ideas?
David
did you copy via the tephra xml on the site? or did you just copy over your values and interpulate between them?
What XML are you referring to? I dropped the new XML file into my ROM directory, and then just interploated all my values into the new ROM. Is there some type of translator XML?
i meant excel..
evolutionm.net - View Single Post - TephraMod V7 . maybe that will make your values smoother idk... i still haven't messed with v7 much since i had the wacky values for the 2 byte stuff... (i still dont know how to log 2byte rpm and air flow hz now i no load has to be 1 byte but havent done much reading to see the others...)why did i say xml..i meant excel..

* also those symptoms remind me of when i tried to make the v5.1 map higher res. my changing the values over 100load in the ignition map and didnt adjust the ones in the fuel map. it bucked like a horse and knocked like hell.
also what are your afrs... i test drove a car the guy said it need a tune and as soon as it hit boost and the afs were 15-13 the car bucked like a dam bull n just wudnt go.... so check those if you have a wide band...
