So, it's the end of winter and I'm about to freshen up my talon. I'm going to replace all the normal things including fluids, which brings me to my question. I'm going to change the fluids in my transmission, transfer case, and rear diff. What is everyone using? I would like to get the best. I have some friends saying use OEM Mitsu and some say MT-90 and so on. I would just like to hear what everyone is using and why. Thanks ahead of time.

Yes very good to hear someone keeping up with maintenance keep these cars alive. Well I am very pro for using the oem dealer recommended fluids because there have been countless hours of testing by the engineers at Mitsubishi to be specific for ours vehicles hope this helps.

I agree and have heard this time and time again. (no matter what make) How about for some extensive spirited driving? OEM will definitely stand the test of time under normal operating conditions. What about the weekend warrior or (if lucky) have very low traffic twisties for a commute? I don't beat my vehicle but I do push it occasionally.

I beleive I read on Jacks Transmission's website that they recommend using OEM Mitsu Tranny oil. You can get it fairly cheap from their website, not sure which one would be cheaper between dealership or Jacks.
