I am currently looking for a new suspension set up. I'm not rich and can't afford the pricey 1k+ setups by Tein, Ksport, JIC, etc.

I found this set of coilovers produced by E-Motor USA for 380 USD and 350 USD on ebay:
Mitsubishi Eclipse Coilovers 95-99 (Non-adjustable)

They look to be designed much similar to the other companies that make coilovers (Tein, Ksport, JIC, etc.) Except you can't adjust the dampening, camber, caster, or toe; just the height and pre-load.

Do you guys think this will crap out on me? The seller said that it doesn't have an upper spherical bearing, but a bushing.

I don't know what more to say. They look kinda promising and it comes with spanner wrenches, so that's a plus :thumb:

Mitsubishi Eclipse Coilovers 95-99 (Non-adjustable)

Welcome to E-MOTOR

Install Guide: I don't know about you guys, but it seems that the springs seem a little short when installed. It could just be me though.

Let me know what you guys think. I'll be the guinea pig for y'all if you convince me enough.

I know you said you don't want just springs, but these are non adjustable. (As far as damping rate) you'll get absolutely no advantage with these over a good "proven" spring/shock combo. If its the coolness factor of having a coilover, fine, but whats going to happen when you blow a seal or shock in a few months?
With this company are they going to replace it?

I'm just looking for something more stiffer with the option of setting my height.

A lot of the other brand name companies offer this kind of set up where you can only adjust the perch height and pre-load.

The high end ones are the ones with adjustable dampening, camber, toe, caster etc.

I added this website to my favorites and gonna watch this thread! i'm highly interested if they are good or not. They look to be quality made and if their made in USA atleast were backing up some of our workers in these crappy times.

Now the question is... It doesn't matter with coilovers whether im AWD or not right??? There are only made for the FWD FTL!

You would have to buy a kit made for AWD. The front is the same but the rears are different because of the axle i believe.

Asking stuck-up people on here about opinions on Ebay parts is like asking to be thrown under the bus. The "You get what you pay for" statement seems to always come up. Buy it, be the guinea pig and let us know how it works out.

I agree, but they're actually not eBay parts, just a lesser-known brand that claims to be made in the USA sold on a upgrade website. I would go for it.

I just ordered them today. I didn't even need to pay for the 9.25% tax!!!

All is grand because I called the manufacturer today and they told me all parts have a 6 month defect/failure warranty from the time you purchased whatever part.

2-6 business days, I will let you all know.

Say bye, bye to my Eibach Sport Lines and KYB GR-2s!

Go for it dude. I have an OBX Fmic and it has worked great on my 2g. I actually might buy a set of the coilovers that you are!

I installed them today and they are cool. Not the best around, but good for the money.

You can't dump your car, but it rides good.

I took pictures and made a video for you guys, but I can't put it on my computer because I used my GF's camera and she has the USB cord.

Funny thing about my set is that, the manufacturer put the 8kg springs in the rear and the 6kg springs in the front.

I didn't notice it after I was adjusting the rear coilovers and had the fronts already on...oh well. I will change it out later when I'm not lazy.

But anywho, the product looks great. Packaging could of been better, bodyroll decreased significantly, ride is a how a coilover rides...bumpy, but doesn't make loud thuds or violent bangs when you go over pot holes.

I will keep you all posted.

Wont you want the 8000 in the rear to help push the front down, and softer in the front for the weight transfer. Im just asking don't honestly know?

No, the extra 2kg in the front is to compensate for the engine.

If I had a MR2 or a midship car, the 8kg would be fine.

The coilovers are pretty stiff; mostly my rears because the 8kg springs are in the rear.

I'm not looking for springs.

I am looking for an affordable real coilover set up.

but its not a real coilover. its just aluminum and has adjustabe ride hight. why not just buy the coilovers for stock shocks ? same thing.

you can get D2 racing coilovers that are 100% adjustable .they cost i think right at $ 1,200. thats what i run and i like em better than ksport, tein, etc, etc (person'l opion)

1200 dollars<350 dollars... Its a cheaper world today. Money is tight and he wanted something somewhat adjustable. I might look into these...
