eBay Coilovers

Just installed my eBay Coilovers by Emotor USA. The front set came with the 6kg springs on them and the rear has the 8kg. Wouldn't it make more sense to have the 8k's in the front? By the way, it was well worth the money and rides much better than stock.

did you get the sleeve ones that are like 30-60$ shipped? or like true coilovers?

He got the sleved coil overs. The real coil overs sold on ebay are from KSport. And are actually very high quality and becoming very popular.

did your coil-over kit come with upper spring perches or did you have to rig something to keep the springs seated against the stock strut spring seats? might be some thing to look into if they didn't come with anything, i just picked up a Talon that had an e-bay coil-over kit done but there was nothing holding the top of the spring in place. needless to say the springs shifted and bent both front struts so i had to replace them and i haven't gotten the car on the road yet. something like this....

but to answer your question i do believe you should have the stiffer springs in the front considering that is where most of your weight is.

I would put stiffer in the rear.

Even with AWD your weight will transfer to the back when launching, therefore a stiffer spring in the back would help keep traction up front and more even over all four wheels.

I'm no expert or anything, but this makes the most sense to me.

will 6kg be sufficient to keep it from bottoming out up front?

For daily driving would the stiffer springs better in the front though?
