This is just something for right now until I get my motor fully broken in, but I'm having a hard time getting the part that looks like a little hat right above the bumpstop off. On the vfaq GC coilover 2g install it just says break down the stock set up but it really doesn't say how besides taking that top nut off to release the pressure off the stock spring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont want you to take this the wrong way, but you're actually "downgrading" your suspension. eBay coilovers can have undocumented springs rates, and reliablilty problems. Save yourself the trouble and money.
Besides you would blow your shocks in no time if you tried to lower your car on them, especially with the notoriously low spring rates some eBay coilovers have.
Good luck with whatever you do.

i would have to agree and say steer clear of the ebay coilovers. i had them for a breif period of time and they were nothing but problems. ride was horrible, they made noise with the slightest bump and drove me crazy with the horrific noises when i would turn. they do make cool hood props though if you paint them to match.

I actually bought the ebay coilovers, and never used them. I just went and used lowering springs, tein, not from ebay. Since I have read on this website that they can break, and do a lot more damage than joy.
