I personally would not buy them. If they fail the consequent damage could cost more than the savings of decent coilovers. If you're just looking to lower it, I'd suggest quality springs.

ANYWAY, with personal "EBAY" coil over preference.. I rock the "NEX" ebay coil overs on my gst... And i haveta say, they aren't bad. And my car is pretty nice ;) just saying.

Let's face it, WE OWN A DSM(s) .. They ride like total ass anyway.. It isn't a $60,000 sports car.. haha.

But, like other people said if your just going with looks and a little better drivability, get the ebay ones man. If you daily it though you might have more issues than I, considering i drive mine 3 months of the year.. And if your going to race, might as well save money up. But if your going just for looks, by all means go ahead =) good luck!

I've actually heard nex are decent, but they're definitely more expensive than $300. I like your theory of "If its already bad, what could it hurt to make it worse?" LOL

And honestly im just going for the look and better stance overall, its my dd but its a beater shell. And I have dropzone lowering springs on it now, but its not low enough for me with the 17 inch rims.. and id like to be able to lower and raise it for differant seasons and such

You asked a questions & we gave you answers. We all gave our .02 on the subject, but it is your car & your $ so at the end of the day its your choice. Good luck man.

No do NOT get speedy racer coilovers, my friend bought all 4 corners for his impreza and 2 of them seized within a week and another cracked. Do stuff right the first time, and pay for good parts. You won't regret it.. If you want decent coil covers that are cheap go for raceland coilovers, they tend to need more "break in" but they have lasted my friend for a couple of years now.

"its my dd but its a beater shell."

Then maybe you should spend the money your about to waste on a paint job? Yeah lets spend 500$ on coilovers so I can make my dd even less comfortable, just so I can say I have coilovers.

Trying to save you some trouble kid. But whatever. If you honestly don't care about the ride just get megan's or teins and forget about it. Probably be the best cheapest options. Eibach may still sell coilovers for 2gs.
