How much whp, makes a stock DSM AWD on a Dynojet or any other dyno?


I've searched like half hour and i haven't found something about it.

I think the 180-195 is flywheel hp
it would be interesting to see what a completely stock DSM would put down to the wheels.

somewhere around 170 most likely. My buddy had a 99X with a downpipe, exhaust, and K&N FIPK and he put down 179 on a dynojet.

Well there is a difference in hp between 1g and 2g. The 2g upped compression and boost which increased the hp slighty. I believe it was around 210 at the flywheel for 2g. I'm not sure about the 1g.... and I own one :/

1g AUTOS came with ~180 CRANK hp stock
1g MANUALS came with ~195 CRANK hp stock

2g AUTOS/MANUALS came with ~210 CRANK hp stock

This info is for TURBO models only.

The drivetrain loss can calculated given whether they're AWD or FWD and MANUAL/AUTO

That and that they turned up the boost from the factory.

I believe the new head design, as well as intake setup helped out.

Yeah boost was turned up.

1g: 11.1
2g: 14.1

Check the dyno challenge in the members section, I believe there is a stock 2g that made like 157 stock hp.

157whp?! That sounds way off then stock if the 2g makes 210hp to the crank then it should make around 180hp to the wheels

even in a fwd trans, how would you lose ONLY 30hp? a 200whp car is decently quick, way faster than stock, so there is no way a 210 bhp car will make 180 to the wheels. 157 whp seems accurate to me for a fwd. awd will be even lower.

well the only year of RSX type S that has 210 hp is 2005, other wise they are rated at 200hp. Even then it would have 200HP not whp

sorry. Evertime i'm around someone who drives "jdm" trendy cars is always estimating dyno numbers without any experience whatsoever with dyno results and what makes what kind of power. It all cracks me up.
