i double checked and was going to edit. You are correct, the 3794 or, if i go bullseye/BW the s366, is the way to go. Im leaning hard towards the FP 3794.\
Im planning a 2.0L keeping my eagle rods, stock crank, but going 10.5:1 wiseco HDs. Spool is not a concern. I dont care about lag especially since its going to be auto.

i know i can take a 3586 and put down 700whp but i dont want to run 42psi if i dont have to. Ill take the lag penalty in exchange for running more lb/min at less psi. Optimally i dont think my setup will see past 32psi if i run something as big as a 3794.
This new build is going to be tricky i think but as long as the head is done right, cams are degreed this time around, and break in goes well I should be right on track.

BTW, off topic but breaking in an engine with an auto tranny. That will be a first for me.

You will need to run 40+ psi to take advantage of the 3794, as stated on fp's website.

Uhhh im pretty sure i can take advantage of a 3794 at 30psi. It may not be in the sweet spot of the map but it will still flow the power im after. Keep in mind, 10.5:1 CR. Also its a very short dumped 3" exhaust, very minimal backpressure going on. Atleast as low as im able to get it

So your goin for 600hp then? Lol i talked to michael about this. As I'm getting the same turbo. You may flow your goal. And you will have a lot lot lot of growing room. Like 400hp of growing room. So i guess if budget allows why not. When i get the 3794 you can bet your ass I'll be at 40+ psi LOL.

You arent going to flow anywhere near the compressor rating at 30psi. If you dont plan on ever going past that boot level why not look at a smaller snail? Where you would be in the sweet spot.

Well, you know how hp is. We ALL want more eventually. I know right now i would like 600-650 whp. Now thats awd automatic. But. I know how i am and i probably will up the boost. I think youre underestimating the difference the 10.5:1 CR will make. While i agree it may not be the sweet spot of the efficiency map, it will do all i need and like you said, a TON more when i want to beat the ### out of it. Yes, overkill is the name of the game on this build. Going to do things right, buy things once and hope my machinist is capable. Not too concerned about this shop though. They actually have 4g experience and have built a locals car that puts down 550whp for 3yrs now.

LOL this thread is about fast autos and i have a fwd MT thats currently down(running on 3.5 cylinders haha). More like bench racing on my part. But any info i can gather about my auto build is greatly appreciated and maybe others can pick up some info here too.

I have heard my tcase, rear lsd, and axles should hold up. Its the clutch packs that need upgrading and i figured why not do the entire trans while im at it. Anything else big power autos have to consider? I have a LSD rear end, btw. Also planning on welding center diff.

I made 648/510 through an auto on my compound setup @ 50psi... At 35psi I made 550AWHP and went 9.7s @ 140
