---at least thats what others say---that is weird i have not seen anything like that ever in 20plus years
, I suppose I am also. Anyone have an explanation or theory???
. At least you found the problem real quick Marty!

It has to have more than one I'm sure. It was the fact the car was just purrin, and goin down hill. I bet most or all are damaged. I have another head but stock valves. I will keep taking pictures and will check timing and the balancer. Some suggest low oil pressure and to check cam journals also so....as I go, if you want to follow along, it may take me a bit longer than usual but I will post findings for others to benefit. Feel free guess what is next for the next big prize! LolI would venture to guess you have several bent valves. That sucks man, did u check the timing? I can see that happening with adjustable cam gear after slipping. Your motor is new yes? Tensioner has low miles. I was under the impression that this only happens in a condition where valves have become bent?
These are the moments that seperate the true enthusiasts from the boys...Ive been there man, makes you wanna throw in the towel.... keep your head up though. Youll have that slut running in no time.It has to have more than one I'm sure. It was the fact the car was just purrin, and goin down hill. I bet most or all are damaged. Keep us updatedYep I sure was. When this happened, it made no noise, it just felt like I turned the key off. I kept up speed for a good 5 seconds I would guess, long enuf to glance at oil pressure. Check, 70 psi. Glanced over at the computer for true water temp. Check, 176*. Belt remains same tension its always had.were u coasting down a hill when it happened?
