hi, i wona upgrade my turbo on the gsx, and there is so many choices dont know which one to buy, so i asking you pepz wich turbo is best for under 1k for street/strip setup thanks,
 
NOslaser that's interesting. I noticed that on my setup with stock unported 6cm housing my EGTs wanted to sky rocket on nitrous. I had to run it very rich and car had a hard time getting over 110mph traps with out EGTs soring past 900c. But after I added cams my EGTs dropped massively even while running much leaner. Top end dramaticly improoved as well.

Unfortunately I don't think they make any turbine housing upgrades for the T28. I think I'm stuck with a 6cm housing. I'm going to port match the exhaust mani and turbine to a 7cm gasket to see if it helps it somewhat. Noslaser, What do you consider to be the maximum you would spray on a 6cm housing?

Turbo lag is non existent in my A/T. Using nitrous was my whole plan for getting rid of lag. I simply foot brake te car to 2700, and when the light goes green I'm gone. I love hearing the Civic boys talk about how my car leaves and say that it's not fair. I run a 50 shot and was able to pull a best of 1.764 60ft time. And I've only ran the car 10 - 15 times. This weekend I'm jetting up to 65 and gonna try to beat my best 60ft time. Plus I'm still running that sh!tty stock T25 and got a 13.633. It would have been faster, but I wasn't spraying past 2nd gear that night. I was too scared, but Sunday will be a different story.
 
Alright, well i have been putting tons of hours on the internet trying to figure out which turbo would the best choice for acheiving 450 whp taking into consideration of the price and the spool up time. I would like to hear all of your opinions of which to get, for what reason. Thanks :dsm:
 
T3/T4 with a .60 A/R and stage 5 exhaust will put you there no problem. That turbo will also be cheaper than FP's. Green is $1375 and RED is $1480. You can get the T3/T4 with ball barring from Turbonetics for around $1100. Of course you can't use a mitsu manifold for a Garrett turbo though so if you want a tubilar SS manifold this would be a good choice. If you wanna keep the stock cast manifold then the FP is good. The T3/T4 will run more money in the end for basically the same performance. I just like the look of the tubilar manifold and the gate on the manifold not the o2 myself, that's just preference though.

Nathan who owns DSM motor sport sells a killer t3t4 setup for $1900 and it comes will all of this: Includes T3T4 turbo of your spec, cast manifold, 35mm Tial External WG, SS dumptube, SS T3 02 housing, stainless oil feed line with fittings, oil drain flange and fittings/hose, gaskets, hardware. You can get a 50 trim to a 62-1.

many people decide to use the 16g i know because its cheaper yet provides more hp. but are there other turbo upgrades for the 1g that may cost more and net more power? thanks, and yes i know im a noob and yes i searched and yes i like pie
 
No such product is in existence, research what exactly you are looking for performance wise. From a realistic stand point. (Please don’t say you want a 10 second daily driver) consider total cost, supporting mods ect.ect. Call around to a few turbo shops and get some advice from them to. If you are looking for some thing used my turbo should be back soon with a fresh rebuild if you are interested, it only has 1500 miles on it:mad:
 
Pretty much what JDM said OMG cant believe I just said that….

What is streetable and reliable to me is a laggy unreliable mess to someone else. Ask a more specific question following these forum guidelines then get back to us.
